Location description from owner

The England region

Bramshaw in situated in New Forest national park. It used to be the Kings hunting ground and all the animals still roam freely and have right of way over drivers. Being in Southern England the climate is temperate and the surrounding area takes you right back to nature. By far the best way to see the forest is on horseback but cycling and walking on the many tracks through the forest is amazing. Or take the car pop in a picnic and stop when the mood takes you.

Bramshaw

New forest cyclying in the national park
Salisbury market town and stunning cathedral is a 20 min drive away
Southampton city is a 15 mins drive from there you can take a ferry to the Isle of Wight
Winchester cathedral is 30 mins away
Bournemouth with its stunning beaches and fab shops is only a 30 min drive away
Visit Beaulieu motor museum with hundreds of vintage cars and abbey and wonderful grounds to meander around
Lymington market on Saturday mornings and maybe lunch down by the river
so many things to do you will need to come back time and again.

“An excellent spot”

Reviewed 14 Nov 2012

We spent a long weekend at the Old Schoolhouse and only wish that it could've been longer. The beds and bedrooms are very comfortable; the underfloor heating was a blessing in November; the kitchen is fantastic (and thoughtfully equipped / stocked); the living area is very comfortable; and the sun room and garden look like reason enough to come back in summer. This is a great spot for two couples to spend a long weekend in the New Forest - thanks to Karen for being so helpful and accommodating.

“Our return visit was even better than our first if that's possible”

Reviewed 25 Sep 2012

My friend and I spent a second week at the Old Schoolhouse in less than a year and loved everything about it. It is single storey which is very convenient, the bedrooms and bathrooms are excellent, the garden is peaceful and private and the local pub does delicious food. There are lots of places to go and things to do in the area and we will be back again soon. Thank you Karen for all your effort in making this an enjoyable stay.
