Description

Pennine View is a delightful 18th century semi-detached 3 bedroom cottage, furnished to a high standard with every comfort for a well deserved holiday .The cottage enjoys truly spectacular, panoramic views of the Pennines. It is situated in Brampton, a delightful sixteenth century sandstone hamlet, nestling beneath the Pennine hills. There is a traditional pub serving excellent food ( 2 minutes walking distance). Appleby is only 2 miles away. This bustling, historic market town has shops, cafes, indoor swimming pool (with gym) and a unique station on the Settle to Carlisle railway line.

The cottage has a lovely enclosed garden with patio area (steps lead to the garden) this provides a perfect area for children to play, or to just relax in both summer and winter, with modern comforts and traditional charm.

Heating is by night storage heaters. Extra heating is provided by underfloor heating in the bathroom, a wood burner in the dinning room (starter pack for wood burner included),

The town is an ideal centre for tourists of all types and is the starting point for many dozens of walks over the surrounding fell countryside. It has kept its old world charm and the people of Appleby are amongst the friendliest you can find. With Castle and Keep at the Brow of the Main Street and the Town at its foot it seems as if time has stood still. A walk up Boroughgate can transport you back into Medieval England, while the charm of the riverside walks provides an opportunity to experience the tranquillity of the countryside within five minutes of the town centre. countryside.
