Description

Brampton House is a private gated family house set within 2.5 acres of land with large landscaped gardens.

The previous independent guest annex to the main house has been fully refurbished to offer a holiday suite with two bedrooms.. Bedroom 1 has a king size bed - two single beds can be provided if required.

The 2nd bedroom of the apartment, next to the large semi circular lounge, has one single bed and one bunk bed. It is suitable for three young adults or three children. However on a few occasions, three adults on a short vacation have been comfortable.

The guests are welcome and free to roam and relax in the gardens. The apartment also has a small private patio outside the lounge. The private parking on front of the apartment can accommodate up to 4 cars so provides significant space for guests' or their visitors' cars. Past visitors have had local friends in the area visit them. Guests have complimented the homely and relaxed atmosphere.

Travelling sales teams to Cambridgeshire have also found the independent apartment strategically placed on the road map for convenient travelling. They have found Brampton House to provide a more relaxing and homely stay after a busy day, as opposed to the hotel atmosphere.

The location is convenient for travelling and wider sight seeing. Cambridge is about 20-30 minutes by car. London Kings Cross and St.Pancras International stations are about 50 minutes by rail from the nearby Huntingdon station, which is about one and half miles from the apartment.

Famous sites like Ely Cathedral and towns including Peterborough and Bedford, as well as many countryside villages, each with their unique history and tradition are within short travelling distances by car.

The imperial war museum at Duxford, with array of aircrafts from WW1 & WW2, is within a short distance from Cambridge. Details of air shows can be found at their website - Imperial War Museum, Duxford.

There are many restaurants and shops in the nearby Huntingdon town centre, which is about two miles away. The town centre also provides banking services.

The local village of Brampton has two general stores, a tea house, a traditional butcher's shop, a garden centre, golf club, local church and it's unique pubs and restaurants, all of which are a short walking distance from the apartment.

The surrounding area also has many beautiful leisure and water parks, with Hinchingbrooke Park being within a short walk. Grafham Water Centre and Grafham Water Park and Grafham Water Sailing Club are just 3-4 miles from the apartment, where guests can go for relaxing walks and activities including cycling and sailing (cycle hire available). The England region

Brampton is a pleasant English country village with a traditional tea house, pubs, restaurants and other amenities. Local restaurants include The Black Bull and The Dragoon, both providing traditional gastro-pub cuisine. Brampton Mill is also nearby and provides picturesque river views.

Brampton House is well placed for pleasant countryside drives, walks, cycling and tourist attractions. Cambridge, famous for its University, culture, theatres and history, is about 20-30 minutes by car or guests can travel there using the new scenic route, with a direct bus service from Brampton to Cambridge.

Nearby towns include: Papworth, Ely (famous for Ely Cathedral), Bedford and Peterborough, all famous for their history, shopping and tourist attractions.

Brampton is conveniently located with good road and rail links for wider travel, the local Huntingdon Train Station is 3km away from Brampton House. Huntingdon to London Kings Cross (the heart of London) is approximately 50 minutes by train. Off peak all day car parking at Huntingdon Train station is £5.50 / day.

Tourists enjoy visiting London by day and then returning to relax, eat & drink in pleasant Cambridgeshire countryside. There are cheap off-peak train passes with unlimited bus & underground travel - ideal for family outings. Alternatively, you can visit London by car, using the A1 to London which only takes one hour.

There are many opportunities for a variety of shopping. Peterborough, Cambridge and Bedford all have many shopping centres with a range high street and luxury fashion. London is also easily accessible, for it's prized shopping areas including Oxford Street, Westfield Shopping Centre or the globally renowned Harrods luxury department store, all of which are an hour away by train.

Brampton Park Golf Club proves very popular and is open to visitors. It is within short walking distance of Brampton House (about 1km). Even for those just wishing to relax and enjoy the countryside life, the atmosphere at the golf club is warm and welcoming. After a game of golf, you could dine at the on-site restaurant at a reasonable price.

Milton Keynes, which is 30 minutes away by car, has ‘Xscape’ the very famous and exhilarating indoor ski slope as well as opportunities to snowboard.

Local to this area we have Grafham Water Centre with many activities such as sailing, windsurfing, climbing, cycling, rock climbing and archery. Air displays and special events at the historic Imperial War Museum at Duxford are also easily accesible. The Museum is about 20-30 minutes by car from Brampton house.

“ideal for leisure and work”

The rooms and the whole house just like in the description and the pictures. Perfect contact with the owners. Mijesce for families with children and people seeking peace and detachment from the hustle and bustle. Nothing more to add just fun.
