Hill House Farm provides a perfect location for family groups, parties, corporate functions and group accommodation. The farmhouse welcomes guests to make themselves at home, in comfortable and beautiful surroundings.

Hill House Farm is a traditional working farm, providing pork, beef and lamb to the local community, alongside our horses, donkey, chickens and dogs. Our staff, who live onsite, will continue running the farm during your stay and will be happy to introduce children (and adults) to some of our livestock. They can suggest local walks and excursions in the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Home to Jamie's Farm, a charity which exists to transform the lives of hard to reach children in challenging urban schools, we provide a unique combination of “farming, family and therapy” that aims to re-engage children with education and fulfil their potential. By renting Hill House Farm on weekendss when children are not staying with us, all income will feed directly into the charity, enabling us to work with more vulnerable children. Accommodation consists of five bedrooms, sleeping a total of 13. Each bedroom has comfortable single beds, including some bunk beds, with duvets, pillows and towels provided. There are 2 family bathrooms and one bedroom has an en suite shower room. A sofa bed and portable beds provide room for extras to stay if required.

The farmhouse has been recently refurbished to a high standard, with the two reception rooms featuring a wood burning stove and an open fireplace, which provide comfortable working and living spaces. The kitchen is well equipped with a range cooker and dishwasher. This leads on to a conservatory dining room which is perfect for entertaining large groups and can seat up to 20 people.

The Old Dairy, featuring the wood burning stove, is perfect for evening dining. Wi fi access is also available in this room. The sitting room has a unique 16th century inglenook fireplace, window seat and has freeview TV, DVDs and board games available for use.

High chairs, cots and baby baths are available upon request.

With a large lawn area, seating area and a barbecue, the garden is suitable for al fresco eating. Summer sports equipment is also available upon request.

Pets may be brought to Hill House Farm, but we ask that they are kept in specified areas of the house.

Smoking is restricted to the garden at the back of the conservatory.

The Wiltshire region

There are many tourist attractions within easy driving distance, such as Stonehenge, Longleat House and Safari Park, Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole caves.

There are many things to see and do when visiting the area and these include:

Only 5 miles from the centre of Bath, famous for its architecture, Roman Baths, shopping and the Thermae Spa complex.

We are six miles away from the market town of Bradford-On-Avon where you can enjoy the Tithe Barn, canal and cycling opportunities together with the beautiful town and historic buildings.

The picturesque villages of Castle Combe and Lacock are only 10 miles away.

We are also well placed for touring the Cotswolds together with other towns such as Bristol, Salisbury, Glastonbury and Wells and attractions such as Stonehenge and Avebury.


There are some fantastic walks both on the farm and within the surrounding countryside and villages. There is also the opportunity to play golf at one of a number of courses close by.

Box features 3 pubs, and recommendations can be made for good quality dining. A village supermarket is 10 minute walk from the farm.

For those interested, guests are welcome to get involved in the farm, with staff members happy to introduce children to the animals.

There are numerous National Trust properties to visit, including Dyrham Park, Stourhead and Great Chalfield. Other attractions include the American Museum, Longleat, Bowood, Westonbirt Arboretum, Brokerswood Woodland Park and Center Parcs.
