This a is a two bedroom chalet situated on the south west coastal path between Heybrook Bay and Plymouth. Comprising two bedrooms, lounge diner, handmade solid wood kitchen with granite worktops, shower room/WC, secluded rear garden, front patio allocated parking. Please note that whilst the property is suitable for children there is a steep ledge in the back garden and front garden and any children should be supervised at all times.

Please note that all bed linen and towels including beach towels, one allocated parking space ( within 50M of the property ) and electricity are included in the rental cost.

Uninterrupted sea views towards Cornwall and Plymouth Breakwater. There are no properties between you and the sea.

Access to natural beaches the closest being only 50M away.

This property gives direct access to the south west coast path There is a beach front cafe and small shop nearby Plymouth Centre is approximately 20 mins drive. The nearby village has a store for daily needs; local produce, papers, information on local events.When you holiday here you will find true relaxation whether it be walking or just watching the ever changing panorama of the sea.

Changeover date is flexible - minimum 3 nights

Very Good

“Just perfect!”

We feel so lucky to have found such a perfect little chalet. We are walking the South West Coastpath, so this little home from home was ideal with the coastpath right outside the front door. It was a cosy place to return to after our walks, with a lovely hot shower to look forward to, & with nice big bath towels to wrap ourselves into (which really does make a big difference) The bed is very comfortable which gave us a good nights sleep, Kitchen is small but perfectly formed & to look out onto that wonderful view whilst washing up & preparing our food, is an absolute delight. All of the equipment is of a very good quality. On the days when we did not go out, it was a pleasure to sit on the comfy large chairs & watch the sea & boats through the patio doors, even when it was pouring with rain. Even though our break was in November the chalet was lovely & warm, & we did not even have to have the heating on high. The peace & tranquility that Quarter Deck offers is wonderful & we would have no hesitation in recommending & returning ourselves.

“Wonderful Holiday Location”

This is the fourth year in a row that we have stayed on the Bovisand Estate (although the first time at this lovely chalet). We were not disappointed! The chalet is situated in the perfect spot with amazing sea views. You can simply sit in one of the comfortable armchairs and watch the yachts and Naval ships coming in and out of Plymouth Sound. Although we went in November, the weather was kind to us and a couple of afternoons we sat out on the front patio drinking wine and simply gazing out to sea. The location is an ideal base for visiting Plymouth (steeped in history and with some good eateries) and for the rest of South Devon. There are some good scenic local walks. One day we walked along the South West coastal path to Jennycliff and Mountbatten and back. It's a steep, challenging walk but with rewarding views and a nice little cafe along the way. You can get the ferry to Plymouth from Mountbatten (free parking) where there is a hotel which serves good bar meals. I had the fish pie which was hearty and delicious. The chalet itself has everything you need for a vacation and is cosy and warm when the temperature drops at night. All in all, we had a fabulous stay at Quarterdeck and hope to return next year.

“Fabulous location with superb views”

Lovely lodge in a stunning location, very clean and modern with great views and coastal location looking out to Plymouth. It is on the coastal path for walks and you can catch the foot ferry to Plymouth from mount batten.

“A Brilliant Holiday Home”

The Quarter Deck was an excellent choice for our holiday in the West Country. The owners were very helpful and welcoming. The lodge views onto the Plymouth breakwater provided a startling and ever changing back drop with some sunsets to take your breath away. Thoroughly enjoyed and worthwhile, we will be back.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
