The property has two light and airy large double bedrooms, with orthopaedic mattresses, both have en-suite facilities with power showers. The master bedroom has amazing views over looking the valley.

Outside relax by your secluded private pool with views across the ever changing valley towards the village of Butrice Buree, or play boule on the recently built court in the garden.

Alternatively sit with a glass of wine on one of the many terraces or under the gazebo, whilst enjoying food freshly cooked on your gas BBQ taking in the wonderful surroundings of this beautiful area.

A short stroll brings you into the village, where you can sample the delights of the local restaurant and bar, on occasion there is live music in the summer evenings.
For those that want to venture further out there are many bars and restaurants in the local area such as St Severen, which boasts local shops, a spar supermarket, pharmacy, post office and much more.
In the opposite direction there is the small market town of Verteillac that has a real buzz, especially on a Saturday which is market day, there is an excellent patisserie, large general store, bank with cash machine, several lively bars and good restaurants and medical centre with an English speaking doctor.
On every first Sunday of the month they have a vide grenier (bric a brac market) a nice way to enjoy a slice of rural France.
About a 10min drive is the main town of Riberac which holds one of the largest open air markets in the region.

Location description from owner

The Dordogne region

The region is known for it's great climate with sun drenched summers, rolling green hills and valleys as far as you can see, plus all the history you could ever need. The food and drink is superb and the people are welcoming. The area is a paradise for wine lovers who may wish to visit the numerous chateaux and wine caves on the Bordeaux wine trail.

Bouteilles St Sebastien

The picturesque old Roman town of Aubeterre, which was recently voted one of the prettiest villages in France, discover the 12th century subterranean church carved out of the rock or enjoy a drink on the village square with it's variety of shops, eateries and museums, all overlooked by a 1,000 year old chateau. Alternatively walk down to the river beach for a swim, relax or a bite to eat.

The market town of Riberac has one of the biggest markets in France. The capital towns of Angouleme and Perigueux offer a wider and more sophisticated range of shops in a typically French setting. Brantome, nicknamed the 'Venice of Perigord' is well worth a visit as its fairly local. Also within easy reach are towns such as St. Emilion, Bergerac, Cognac and Bordeaux, all famous for their wines and spirits and equally beautiful places to visit.

Local activities range from walking, sight seeing, tree climbing, canoeing, cycling, fishing, or even jet–skiing and quad biking to name but a few. Wine tasting is of course a staple part of the French experience! There are a variety of local festivals, fetes and firework displays that take place throughout the summer in the local villages and towns. These are aimed at all ages and generally take place between the months of June and September.
