The beach hut is on the promenade close to the restaurants, family pub, shower block and toilets with views across the Purbecks. Suitable for all family members as it is in a level position. Equipped with table & chairs, loungers, cutlery, crockery and a gas burner stove. Available throughout the year £100 - £175 per week.

One parking space but on road as well. There is a private garden with some folding chairs accessed from the ground floor. no direct access from the apartment.

The Dorset region
Dorset is a county of great beauty, a land of contrast and breathtaking scenery. It is one of the maritime counties of southern England, fronting the English Channel which separates the United Kingdom from mainland Europe. Its coastline extends some 140 kilometres from Lyme Regis in the west to Christchurch in the east, and offers a selection of the finest sandy beaches to be found in the British Isles.
The award winning heritage coast begins in Poole Harbour and includes the Purbeck coastline which is the site of special nature reserves and countryside/marine parks. Travelling westwards, equally spectacular is the Chesil Bank, a barren pebbled beach, stretching 25 kilometres from Weymouth to Bridport. This, with the internationally famous Abbotsbury Swannery, is a photographer's paradise, and a sea captain's nightmare!
The region owes much of its charm to its villages - over 150 of them - and they are well worth exploring. Drive through Abbotsbury's long and winding main street and you will see sandstone cottages, tempting tea rooms and glimpse an old coaching inn. Other villages have quaint names like Toller Porcorum, Plush & Piddlehinton, each has its history, character and charm. Many - like Evershot, Nettlecombe or Cerne Abbas - lie hidden in quiet inland valleys. In Cerne Abbas, for instance, you'll find houses dating from the 15th century, the ruins of an Abbey and the famous Giant - a striking 180-foot high figure cut into the chalk downs overlooking the village.
Dorset features some excellent museums, with world leading centres at Bovington (The Tank Museum, telling the history of military vehicles), and the Russell Cotes Museum and Art Gallery in Bournemouth. Other museums include the Dorset County Museum in Dorchester, The Red House in Christchurch, the Royal Signals Museum at Blandford, and the award winning Brewers Quay in Weymouth. Many smaller towns have their own local museums.
Southbourne is a popular holiday resort and is a suburb of Bournemouth. Situated between Boscombe and Christchurch, it offers a pleasant beach and a host of nearby visitor attractions.
Southbourne Beach: Southbourne is one of Bournemouth's quieter beaches, popular with bathers due to the fact it has no sudden shelves or rip currents. This sandy beach has good access facitilites and a Kidszone scheme to ensure parents find lost children quickly. The beach's most popular feature is its seafront restaurant bistro which is open all year round.
Fisherman's Walk: This feature laden beach is a firm favorite with families. It provides good bathing areas and is easily accessed by means of a cliff lift, cliff paths, or level promenadefrom nearby Boscombe.The beach itself is sandy with some shingle and has no sudden shelves or rip currents. A good range of facilities are provided and the attractive Southbourne Grove shopping centre is situated within easy walking distance from the cliff top through Fisherman's Walk Ornamental Gardens. The presence of lifeguards and the zoning of watercraft away from swimmers, increases safety when bathing.
Southbourne is a popular holiday resort and is a suburb of Bournemouth. Situated between Boscombe and Christchurch, it offers a pleasant beach and a host of nearby visitor attractions. The eastern part of Southbourne is known as Hengistbury Head which forms the boundary with Christchurch Harbour. Southbourne today is centred on the shopping street of Southbourne Grove. It is a pleasant place to find independent shops and boutiques along with a post office, gift shops and many cafés. There is a funicular railway which links the coastal road with the promenade and beach area. It is known as the Fisherman's Walk Cliff Railway and was built in 1935 to carry 12 passengers at a time up the 128 foot (39m) incline. The clifftops offer spectacular views across to Swanage, Hengistbury Head and even the Isle of Wight on a clear day. The promenade runs continuously from Southbourne to Boscombe and Bournemouth. It is popular for evening strolls. In the other direction, Hengistbury Head offers a pleasant place to walk on gravel footpaths which lead down to Quarry Pool which attracts some birdlife. The Green Flag awarded Seafield Gardens offer a bowling green and tennis courts. Just inland from Southbourne is the charming old village of Christchurch at the confluence of the rivers Avon and Stour. It has a Norman castle and the old priory dates back to 1094. It is now used as a parish church and has the longest nave in England at 311 feet (95m). Southbourne makes an ideal base for exploring the area including the New Forest and nearby Bournemouth with its pleasure gardens and excellent shopping centre.
Boscombe, not far from Southbourne, is renowned for its shopping mostly centred around the pedestrianised precinct. There are two undercover arcades as well, the Victorian Royal Arcade and the Sovereign Shopping Centre. Boscombe hosts the only regular street market in the Bournemouth area. The Open Air Market is held throughout the year, every Thursday and Saturday between 9am-5pm. Here you can browse the stalls selling fresh local produce, clothing and arts and crafts. There is also a monthly Farmers Market on the first Sunday in the month between 10am-3pm. Around the precinct you'll also find a good choice of cafes and restaurants.
Boscombe Chine Gardens have already felt the benefit of an injection of cash as much of Boscombe is now receiving. The gardens were originally cultivated from heath and mire overlooking Boscombe's seafront. Today, the gardens have been opened up and original features like the spa shelters, lodge and some of the original pines planted by the Tregonwells have been retained. Facilities now include a ball court, water play area, mini golf and terrace cafe. The gardens have been re-landscaped and although they still have colourful planted beds the gardens have a much more modern and cared for appearance.
The new Boscombe Surf Reef has been attracting plenty of attention and scores of water sports enthusiasts to the area.
