“Fantastic”

Reviewed 20 Aug 2016

So glad we found this fabulous house. We have special needs kids as well as older and very young children and needed somewhere relatively quiet but with enough space. Here we got both. He house was clean and we'll decorated. Each room has its own shower which was great for us! The bbq in the garden was a great touch. Tim and Beck greeted us on our arrival with lovely goodies and treats for the kids. The amenities there meant it was home from home and this helped the kids settle. Had everything we needed as a large family. Close enough to take a walk to Boscombe beaches (about 40 mins)or take a bus. In the the car it took just a few minutes. Poole and Bournemouth again a short drive away. All in all, perfect. I'd recommend this gem of a place to anyone and will definitely book again.

Thank you for the review. It was a pleasure to have you all. Look forward to seeing you all again next year. :-)

“Lovely House - Great for the Family”

Reviewed 19 Aug 2016

My parents booked this house for extended family stay, we had 6 adults and 3 children and a baby in the house. On arrival the house was very clean and tidy, a very nice welcome pack was there with lunch provided - nice loaf of fresh bread along with cheese, crackers and other little nibbles. The location is great with 10 mins drive of either Boscombe front or parking in Bournemouth. There are decent shops for food within 10mins walk (Tesco Express) or with 5mins is a smaller Premier Corner Shop, between them these stocked all the food we needed for the week (well other than the tesco home delivery we had come direct to the house <-- this is a great way to get your food to the house. Facilities in the house had 6 double bedrooms, all the beds are very comfortable and rooms spacious enough to sleep and move around in. each bedroom has a shower in them, the only downside to that being that the water pressure isn't enough to have a decent water flow...but they do the job none-the less (as I say we had 10 people and managed). Kitchen is well stocked with plates, cups and other equipment, all of which were clean and tidy when we arrived. The house also comes with a lovely secure enclosed garden and BBQ included (charcoal, so don't forget to bring some) the kids loved running around and playing whilst the adults were doing the boring things, like getting ready! Parking - the front drive looks like it fits 3 cars, but if you have big cars your going to struggle (we had 2 x Zafira's and a Seat Exeo). There is plenty of roadside parking and we didn't have to go more than 100 yards to park. Overall can't argue with the facilities, I understand from my parents that the owner was very responsive to questions and very helpful.

Thanks for the review. Greatly appreciated.

“Beautifully presented family accommodation.”

Reviewed 13 Aug 2016

We came to stay in a large three-generation family group. As we had never rented a house before we didn't know what to expect but our trepidation soon vanished when we were greeted by Tim looking out for us arriving and beckoning us into the driveway. Everything was as described but the standard really was excellent, with a lovely welcome pack of local produce, fresh flowers in every room and a plentiful supply of lovely fluffy towels. The secluded garden was well-maintained with plenty room for the children to play safely and room to eat outside or in. We'd happily book again.

Thanks for your review Hilary and thanks for looking after the house! It was a pleasure to have you, best wishes for the future, Tim.

“Great value for money in a prime location”

Reviewed 4 Sep 2015

I booked this house for extended family who were visiting the UK. Throughout the booking the owner, Tim was great at communication, very professional as well as friendly, he even allowed us to be flexible when booking in and leaving the property. His instructions and terms were very clear and Tim was always on hand to answer any queries we had whilst the duration of our stay. The house itself his basic but also quite homey, most importantly it was clean, tidy and Tim arranged a lovely welcome pack for the guests when they arrived. the house is in Charminster which is a good location for getting into central Bournemouth, Boscombe but most of the group were quite happy to just walk into Charminster in the evenings to spend the time in one of the many restaurants (I happen to think the restaurants in Charminster are much more varied than Bournemouth Town) or bars/pubs. The garden was also lovely but unfortunately it did rain that week so we didn't see much of it. Altogether a great holiday home for a large group.

“Brilliant holiday in super house”

Reviewed 9 Aug 2015

Just returned from week at Orcheston House with all my family, including young grandchildren and we've all had an amazing time. It was great to be greeted by Tim the owner who was extremely helpful both with queries I had before we arrived and during our stay. We were a piece of kitchen equipment missing and Tim delivered it straight away. The house is beautiful and we all enjoyed the benefit of a sink and shower in each bedroom - no queues in the morning. The garden was a bonus too as not only was it secure for both our dogs, children young and old had great fun playing ball games in the evening.

“Excellent accommodation”
