This comfortable 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment is located within the prestigious Burlington Mansions, a former Victorian hotel which has been converted into luxury apartments. This apartment was the last one to be completed in 2010 and the conversion has been carried out to a very high standard.

The apartment has an open plan lounge with a 3 seater and a 2 seater sofa, a 32" flat screen TV with Free-view, a DVD player and free wi-fi access. The kitchen area is very well equipped with new appliances and equipment including an electric oven and gas hob, a separate fridge and freezer, a washing machine, a dishwasher and a microwave . Off the lounge area there is a dining table and 4 chairs and in addition, there are 2 bar stools at the large breakfast bar. There is a master bedroom with an en suite bathroom together with a twin bedroom and a luxury family bathroom with a large oval bath. All bed linen and towels are included and a travel cot and high chair are provided. There is also a large lobby area which is very useful for storing pushchairs, luggage etc.

The apartment is on the lower ground level, however, there are large arched windows in the two bedrooms and the lounge which provide plenty of natural light and make the apartment light and airy.

The apartment is located just a short walk from Boscombe Pier, the surf reef and the beautiful sandy beaches that stretch along this section of Dorset coastline. A good selection of restaurants and bars can be found in several directions within minutes. The centre of Boscombe is a 5 minute walk away and Bournemouth centre can be reached by car in 10 minutes. Bournemouth beach is a pleasant stroll along the promenade from Boscombe beach or a short ride on the Land Train.

WEEKEND OR SHORT BREAKS - Short stays will be considered outside of the peak periods, subject to availability and a minimum stay of three nights. These bookings will be charged at 20% of the weekly rate, per night, for the relevant period. Please contact the owner to check availability.


Please notify the owner immediately of any cancellation. If we manage to re-let the apartment for the period all monies paid, less the deposit, will be refunded. However, if we are unsuccessful in re-letting the apartment no refund will be made.

Please ensure that you have appropriate holiday insurance to cover you in case of cancellations in unforeseen circumstances.

“My First Holiday with my new Granddaughter”

Accommodation was exactly as described and was suitable for our purposes. The Location was good as it is betwixt and between the Beach and the Town. All appliances worked and the kitchen cupboards were well stocked with glasses and china.

On the plus side the location is very good - Boscombe pier is about half mile away and it is close to shops. The apartment is spacious and has a pleasing décor. There is a dedicated parking space and a small garden area, with seating, at the back of the building. On the minus side it is a basement apartment and all the windows look out on to a wall. To reach the apartment it is necessary to go down a flight of 14 stairs, which isn't easy with a suitcase and shopping. It is not suitable for anyone with a disability.

Owner's reply: I am unsure who placed this review as no name was mentioned, however, the advert on the holiday lettings website does say that the apartment is not suitable for those with mobility problems. Although it is on the lower ground floor, the apartment is light and airy as it has large windows. It is also in an ideal location as it is just 5 minutes from the beach and the shops in Boscombe.

We are a family of 4 and just returned from staying here. The flat has absolutely everything you need and Janis sends you a comprehensive write up on all you need in order to access the property and settle in. The flat is very quiet and situated in a wonderful Victorian property with period features in the fantastic reception area. Just a 5 minute walk to either Boscombe beach and its bars and restaurants or instead head to the long High Street that has everything you need from either stocking up to eat in or dine out and spoil yourselves. I would absolutely recommend staying here and will use Janis again should we head down that way again,

We (myself, husband and 2 kids) spent a lovely 3 nights in this apartment. The apartment itself is beautiful and has been furnished to an excellent standard. The bath is huge and a real pamper treat. There is a large room before you walk into the apartment itself where you can keep you sandy boots - a great idea. Everything has been thought about and it really is like home to home. The beach is only a 5 min walk away is is beautiful - there are a few restaurants within walking distance and for the evening lots of reautaurants to get delivery from. I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back. Thanks Janis

This was our second year staying at this apartment. What can I say - it is so perfect! Everything has been thought of to make the holiday as stress free as possible for the parents. The toys are such a hit! My children are as happy staying in the apartment as going out to explore the local area. We hope to be back!

My husband and I, and our 18 month old daughter thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It really is home away from home and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is great and we walked to the seafront in just a few minutes. The beds were very comfortable and wow, what a bath tub!! The place was spotlessly clean and there were plenty of towels provided. I would highly recommend this to anyone paying a visit to the area.
