“Family Relaxation Holiday”

Reviewed 11 Jun 2013

We have been visiting Labarde for some 5 years with our daughter and granddaughter. After each visit we all come away feeling relaxed and ready for what lies ahead. We have stayed in all three gites and each has its own charm with none better than the other, as it depends on the number and ages of people in the party. We feel that the whole set up is just about right with Paul,Anna, Brian and Jenny always being around if there are any problems but never fussing or intruding. The gites are continually being improved and the grounds are extremely well kept. I would highly recommend this holiday if you want to recharge the batteries and hopefully top up the tan ( pity Anna can't control the weather) while taking in super countryside and meeting some lovely people.

“Can't wait to go back...”

The property is lovely - very well equipped, tastefully decorated and comfortable - there was an espresso coffee machine (with coffee provided) as well as provision of essential items such as dishwasher tablets, squeezy, tea bags and even a bottle of wine & some beer. The lounge was very comfortable with large flat screen television, X-Box console and games/books, although we could not help but spend most of our time outside admiring the view from the covered alfresco area. All the bedrooms were spacious and had en-suite shower rooms (one note - not a fault - care is needed on the stairs as they are slightly steep and there are a few low beams in the upstairs bedrooms - but all in keeping with the property). The outlook is beautiful - great pool, stunning views of the surrounding countryside, an abundance of well kept flowers and hanging baskets, and a large grassy area for the children to play. We particularly appreciated the welcoming but discreet presence of the owners who were on hand if ever we needed any help or advice. The location is very peaceful and rural yet close to a number of picturesque villages and towns and there is plenty to do within driving distance....should you choose to venture out...we found the setting so good that most days we just wanted to stay put and relax! Having stayed in a number of different self catering properties we can wholeheartedly say this is the best so far - we couldn't fault it.

“What a lovely holiday! :-)”

My husband, his kids and I stayed in La Grange villa with my sister-in-law and her kids for our summer holiday this year and it was lovely! The villa was amazing! It was very modern, clean and beautifully decorated and felt like a home away from home. The landlords who live in seperate accomodation on the property were amazingly helpful and very approachable. Even though the villa was remote proved no issue at all as the villa was quite equipt with everything that we needed for us and the kids and it was a nice drive to some lovely places/landmarks also. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone. :-)
