The Limousin region

The Creuse is a lovely part of the Limousin, with a stunning series of lakes, rivers alive with a huge variety of fish and softly rolling countryside that rises to a stark plateau. The department, which lies in the northeast of the region, is also full history and home to some of the finest craftsman in the world.

“Lovely house in tranquil surroundings”

Reviewed 6 Jun 2012

Had a wonderful holiday in this house with 3 generations of our family. The house met all our requirements and is a lovely, comfortable house for a family holiday and very peaceful We had wonderful weather while in Limousin and spent most of our days on the beach at the beautiful Lac de Vassiviere which is an easy short drive away. The children aged 2, 5 and 6 loved the lake and it was completely safe. Basic shopping can be done in Royere de Vassiviere or for more choice and bigger shops, in the larger towns of Bourganeuf or Aubusson.
