Description

La Terrasse is located in a peaceful area in a small village called Biras. The cottage has a cozy courtyard with a private swimming pool. The children can play at the playground across the street.

The living room has a dining table, a double sofa, two armchairs and a TV. The fireplace provides warmth and coziness during the winter months. High chair and cot available.

The open kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher, fridge / freezer, water boiler, toaster and a coffee machine.

The ground floor has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds and adjacent bathroom, which has a shower and a sink. There is a separate toilet. The ground floor is accessible for disabled persons.

Upstairs is a second bedroom with a double bed and a sofa bed. The adjacent bathroom has a shower and a sink. There is a separate toilet.

“Excellent Family Retreat”

This really was a lovely home from home. The villa had everything you would need for a relaxed retreat in the sun. The owners were amazing! After our 19 hour journey with a 3 year old and nine year old due to the delays at Folkstone we did not arrive until 11pm and in the dark struggled to find it. Marie and her family came out at night time to show us where it was, welcome us, and returned at 8am with milk, fresh baghettes, butter & coffee! They continued to make sure we had everything we needed and if we required them nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was clean and well equipped. We only used 2 of the bedrooms and they were perfect, with lovely walk in wet rooms. We enjoyed the lovely pool every day and only ventured out for dinner 3 times in the whole two weeks because we enjoyed the BBQ and facilities on offer at the villa, with two young children it was just too perfect to eat outside, either in the sun or in the shade and they popped back into the pool as soon as they were done! We did venture out and about visiting the local towns and found boat trips, parks, mini golf, lakeside beaches, crepe and ice cream parlours and the most amazing beautiful views and local sunflower meadows. Nearest town of Brantome is a 10 min drive and a local spa shop just a short drive away in Lisle. A bigger supermarket can be found just a 15 minute drive from the villa. Our girls loved the family time and pool, and we loved how safe and secure the villa felt, the pool had a safety net around it and the pool was a perfect size for our small family. If it was closer to drive to we would re-book before the summer was out we loved it that much but for now we are thinking about returning next year. Thank you so much for the homemade marmalade you made for us, the time you spent chatting and playing with our girls when you visited and for making our family holiday extremely memorable.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
