The Cornwall region
Cornwall has much to offer its Visitors, apart from from fabulous scenery and beautiful beaches there are tourist attractions aplenty to suite all age groups from families to grandparents and of every sort from stately homes and gardens to full throttle fun parks. There are stunning historical sites maintained by the National Trust and English Heritage, such as Lanhydrock House, Cothellle manor or Pendenis Castle. Or if you are looking for somewhere for the children to let off steam try Crealy Great Adventure Park, Flambards or Dairyland Farm World. Cornwall has some of the best gardens to visit in England, the Lost Gardens of Hellegan are well worth a visit and of course there is the renowned Eden Project.. There are quaint fishing villages to visit and quiet little coves to sunbathe or swim in. Wlkers have a choice of exploring the Coastal Path or the stunning location of Bodmin Moor as well as just well marked countryside footpaths. For those who love water sports Cornwall has about the best beaches for surffing.
There are art galleries and museums such as The Tate St. Ives and National Maritime Museum, Falmouth. .
The area the lodge is situated in, is one of the most beautiful in Cornwall, the coastline is rugged and scattered with lovely coves and plenty of places to surf. There are some famous little ports within easy reach such as Port Issac (Doc Martin and Poldark locations), Padstow, Boscastle and beauty spots like Rock, Trebarwith Strand and Crackington Haven. Tintagel is a short walk or 2 minutes by car or bus, renowned for its connections to King Arthur. The castle is open to visitors and the village has two small supermarkets, a pharmacy, butchers, launderette, pubs, cafes, tourist information centre, souvenire shops and much more. Boscastle can be reached by car orr bus in about 5-6minutes and offers a much quieter env ironment but has plenty of eating places, a National Trust Visitors Centre, shops and the Witches Museum. There are many visitor attractions in the vicinity of Bossiney and also National Trust properties within easy reach. The Eden Project is about an hours drive to the South and Bodmin Moor with the infamous Jamaica Inn within very easy driving distance.
