In springtime you can enjoy the snowdrops, primroses, and bluebells in the woodlands and hedgerows; in the summer, laze on the beach and during the winter marvel at the magnificent sight of the Atlantic waves breaking whilst enjoying an invigorating walk before a drink or meal in front of the log fire, in one of the friendly local inns.

Peacefully situated on a small working farm in a country lane, the cottage is half a mile from Thomas Hardy's Church at St Juliot, yet only a mile from the South West Coastal Path, with stunning views.

Wideacres cottage is set in a lawned garden, which is a perfect sun-trap, with a shared childrens play area, swing and slide. It is one and a half miles from Boscastle, which can also be reached on foot through the scenic Valency Valley. “An amazing find in an amazing location.”

Reviewed 9 Aug 2016

I would thoroughly recommend staying here to anyone looking to stay in the area. It is in the most peaceful location and wherever you look you are guaranteed an amazing view. Linda,Richard and their boys were very welcoming and accommodating and the house itself was immaculately clean and has everything you need for a self catering stay. Make sure you get down to the farm shop if you stay here, food and location are both sensational. Our family had a great time here and I am sure you would too.

Thank you for your lovely comments, we are pleased you had such a good time and welcome you to stay again.

“Fantastic week”

Reviewed 6 Oct 2014

Myself, wife and 2 year old stayed at wideacres for a week in September and had a wonderful time. The location is fantastic with beautiful views and close to Boscastle, which is a lovely village with plenty going on. The cottage is clean & comfortable and Ella loved the garden! We were also so lucky with the weather, which made the week. Linda, Richard and the boys are very welcoming and Linda, thanks so much again for babysitting! All on all a fab week and I would definitely recommend to anyone. Thanks again.
