A quaint 16th century terraced cottage in Boscastle fishing village 3 miles from Tintagel, North Cornwall. Bossiney Haven sandy beach is 2 & a half miles and Trebarwith Strand excellent beach is approx 6 miles. Sea views from bedroom 2. The cottage was one of the original Inns of Boscastle, hence the cottage’s name ‘The Old Brigg Inn’. Lots of original character features such as old ships beams, window seats & slate floors. It is situated in the old part of the village amidst a row of picturesque cottages on a side lane, just a few minutes stroll from the Napoleon Inn (good food). A short stroll to other pubs in the village and under half a mile walk down to the well known harbour, waterside shops & tea houses. Beautiful coastal walks. The cottage has a small slate walled front garden with garden gate, small grass area and patio area with table and chairs. Bude beach resort with its large classic sandy beaches and huge free open air beach swimming pool is 13 miles. Lots of other beaches nearby such as at Crackington-Haven(approx 5 miles)and Widemouth Bay.

Bedroom 1 has 1 King size double bed. Bedroom 2 has 1 double bed & en-suite shower room (power shower). Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds. Cot & High Chair. Bed linen supplied inclusive. Lounge with a feature fireplace and multi fuel burner, Flat Screen T.V. & DVD. Free high speed infinity Internet access (bring your own laptop). Second lounge with T.V. Upstairs sitting room. Large & well equipped farmhouse style kitchen/diner with an electric cooker, microwave, USA style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine & dryer. Bathroom with bath, overhead power shower, toilet & washbasin.

Free High speed Infinity Internet (bring your own laptop). Heating by 4 night storage heaters, 2 multi-fuel burners (one in lounge and 1 in entrance lounge area-1st bucket of coal provided free).

Non-smoking. 2 dogs welcome (£25 extra per dog). Parking on road outside cottage (no restrictions). Also on the road parking at bottom of lane (no restrictions.

The England region

Boscastle is a a popular tourist destination. Among the attractions are the Museum of Witchcraft, the walk out onto the 16th cent harbour pier (stunning sea views), the Boscastle pottery shop, and access to the South West Coast Path. Crackington Haven has a good sandy beach and is a favourite with walkers, right on the coastal footpath. There are toilet facilities near the beach and lifeguard cover in the summer. Although the parking and entrance to the beach are at ground level, Crackington Haven boasts the highest cliff in Cornwall called High Cliff (735 feet high). The village has a small shop, two tea rooms and a pub called the Coombe Barton Inn. A little further up the coast is Bude beach resort with miles of excellent classic sandy beaches and a huge free open air swimming pool on the main beach. Lots of other attractions in Bude which include rowing boat hire up Bude Canal, golf course, bird sanctuary, ten pin bowling and much more.
