Location description from owner

The North Wales region

Snowdon, Snowdonia National Park are fantastic areas to walk in with views to match any in Britain, there are numerous sights to see including historic castles such as Beaumaris, Caernarfon, Criccieth and Harlech. The coastline is mostly sandy with numerous coves and beaches to visit and swim from, the sea is warmer than most parts of the British Isles as it is warmed by the Gulf Stream.

Borth-y-Gest

Porthmadog has numerous shops with a number of speciality shops such as Portmeirion shops which sell most of the theit china ware. Also Kerfoots which sells gifts and interseting furniture of high quality. There is also a Tesco for food etc.The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland narrow gauge railways both start from Porthmadog booking is advisable in the summer months. The village of Portmeirion is 3 miles and is well worth a visit. The harbour is a busy yachting centre and there seats to sit and watch the events and a cafe for coffee etc. There are numerous pubs and restaurants in the area.
