Away from light pollution and with vast open skies, Glacier Lodge is in an excellent position for watching displays of the aurora borealis should they occur during your stay.

With the region's natural beauty on your doorstep, including the striking sea stacks of Arnarstapi, there are plenty of things to see and do from a variety of hiking trails, sailing excursions and whale and bird watching opportunities, to activities on and around nearby Snaefellsjokull glacier - including snowmobiling.

Please note: The shape of the lodge is such that it is necessary for the stairs between the two levels to ascend/descend steeply with a split step design. It is therefore not suitable for those with low levels of mobility or very young children.
