Situated in the heart of Bordeaux, with a view over the 'fairytale castle' of Porte Cailhau, The Key to Bordeaux is very close to the river and the famous Place de la Bourse.

This two bedroom apartment is spacious (80 sq meters). There is one double bed in the main bedroom and two singles in the second bedroom, plus a fold-out day bed in the main bedroom which sleeps two. Amenities include an elevator, dishwasher and washing machine, Wi-Fi, Cable TV and free telephone calls to most countries.

The apartment is in a quiet street, very close to the river. In the surrounding area are numerous restaurants, cafes, wine shops and small boutiques.

To reach other areas in the city, you need only walk for a couple of minutes to the tram stop, and the line will take you to the main train station and many other significant locations in the city.

It is rare to find a spacious, two bedroom apartment that is so centrally located.

The Key to Bordeaux is an ideal base for sightseeing. It is just a street back from the river, and less than two minutes walk away from the famous Place de la Bourse. Just around the corner from the apartment are wonderful restaurants bistros, bars and cafes, and there are many others within close proximity. Opposite the apartment building is a gelato shop and an excellent wine bar.

The apartment is also close to Rue St Catherine - the longest pedestrian shopping street in Europe - museums, art galleries and the famous Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux.

In the surrounding area open air food markets and antiques market are held weekly.

Further afield you can visit famous vineyards and elegant châteaux; pretty villages and the beautiful beaches surrounding the Bay of Arcachon.

Our English and French speaking property manager will meet you on arrival, and give you a tour of the apartment. She is available during your stay to answer any queries. There is also a House Book in the apartment, which has a great deal of useful information about facilities and local attractions. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations. We offer complementary hand sanitizer and antiseptic wipes. We are also ensuring there is a gap of at least 48 hours between bookings. On check in, the property manager will wear a mask, and will give you the disinfected keys in a sealed envelope.

The key to Bordeaux apartment is in a perfect location just within the city gates. The promenade is steps away. The apartment is large, the kitchen is functional and it was quiet.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Suzanna (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
