Incredible location for perfect getaway. The house is set amid the rivers and rolling hills of the beautiful right bank of Bordeaux, which is just 10 min. away. Safe, quiet outdoor environment, perfect for nature lovers and families. This 2 bedroom apartment occupies the ground floor of our house and has an independent entrance with private terrace in the garden overlooking beautiful countryside. There are 3 rooms in the apartment:• 1st room has a double bed (160 x 190) and a wardrobe• 2nd room has a large sofa-bed (160 x 200)• 3rd room has a Kitchen, dinning area and a sofa-bed (140 x 200). French doors are opening to a garden terrace• The parking space is next to the house in the garden, bus stop is nearby, Bordeaux airport is about 20 km away. From this perfect base you can conveniently access the main attractions of the region: cultural Bordeaux, medieval Saint-Émilion, vineyards and numerous wine Châteaus, popular seaside resort Arcachon, the tallest sand dune in Europe, the biggest lake, and the Atlantic coast with its clean sandy beaches. If you like you can explore the region on a bike by taking a scenic cycling route running via our village. It will lead you to Bordeaux or further away via vineyards and small French villages. We are always happy to share ideas with our guests about this area - which country routes to take, how to get to the ocean front and where to go if to buy the best locally produced wine, cheese and bread. “Little Gem in the Bordeaux Countryside”

We recently stayed in this gite for a week and found it ideal for our purposes. The location is excellent-in the countryside but only a short drive from Bordeaux. The property itself is spacious-ideal for a small family and there is plenty of outdoor green space. It is immaculately kept and the facilities are more than adequate. The village of Lignan is a three minute drive, with a nice bistro for relaxation. There is a fantastic boulangerie at the main junction (Fagues St Hilaire) where you can get freshly made bread for every meal if you so wish. The supermarket is also just a ten minute drive away. For those interested in wine, the location is in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Meres wine area, with four a five chateaux within a few miles, with dozens more within a 20 mile radius. The owners (Irene and William) live on the first floor-they are very attentive to your needs and very nice people. It suited our purposes perfectly, represented great value for money and we will definite go back to stay there when we return to Bordeaux

Nice rural location, owners are very friendly and helpful, good location to be able to explore the countryside around Bordeaux as well as being able to pop into Bordeaux. Overall, a nice relaxing break.
