Escape to this private, quiet, 3-bedroom, 2-bath Alpine Log Cabin snugly nestled in the woods near Boone and Banner Elk, NC. Alpine Log Cabin, which is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains at just under 4000-foot elevation, provides a spectacular year round view of Grandfather Mountain. This idyllic setting is like a breath of fresh air.

One main floor bedroom features a queen bed with sunrise views ideal for your guests. The other main floor bedroom has two twin beds plus a small table and two child size chairs giving the kids a perfect play space away from the adults. Your spacious master bedroom on the second floor has a log-design queen bed; chaise lounge for enjoying that good book; smart flat screen cable TV and DVD player to watch from your bed. This bedroom also has a complete en suite bathroom which also gives you that sun rise view.

Alpine Log Cabin's great room invites you in to enjoy a cozy, warm gas-log fireplace that starts with the flick of an on/off switch. The large, relaxing, sectional sofa is where you can watch your favorite programs on the huge smart, flat-screen cable TV and DVD player. This TV has FREE Netflix for your viewing enjoyment.

Next to the dining table is a cabinet with stereo, family friendly DVD's, board games, and giant carpet checkers game.

Extra features include FREE high-speed internet and Wi-Fi throughout the entire cabin. Free long distance lets you call anywhere in the continental United States using the cabin phone.

More fun awaits you in the lower level recreation room where you'll discover an antique pool table awaiting the pool shark in your family. New additions to the recreation room include a foosball table, air hockey table, poker table with chips and cards, bingo game with cage, and Dominoes which has the parts needed to play Mexican Train.

Enjoy breath-taking sunrises in a beautiful wooded setting along with the soothing sounds of nature. Alpine Log Cabin provides a handy booster chair and port-a-crib for your baby. Well-behaved dogs are welcome ($56.50 per dog). Because of allergy concerns we do not allow cats. This is a non smoking home both inside and outside. We will do everything possible to make this a vacation to cherish.

With easy access off North Carolina route 105 on a paved street, Alpine Log Cabin retreat is conveniently located to many major area attractions - Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain, and Appalachian Ski resorts; Valle Crucis, home to Mast General Store; Horn in the West Outdoor Drama in Boone; Mystery Hill; Grandfather Mountain; Linville Falls and Caverns; and Tweetsie Railroad. Fun is just down the road at Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Zipline. The many farmers' markets provide a variety of fresh produce and baked goods for your table. Festivals, like the famous Wooly Worm Festival in near-by Banner Elk, offer fun for everyone all year long.

Alpine Log Cabin is close to the cities of Boone, the vibrant bustling home of Appalachian State University offering both sports and cultural events; Blowing Rock, with it's unique shops; and Banner Elk, home to Lees-McRae College with it's Summer Theater productions.

Alpine Log Cabin is surrounded by an outdoor enthusiast's dream come true. Hiking, fishing, skiing, ice skating, white water rafting, horseback riding, mountain biking as well as hunting in Cherokee National Forest provide a variety of seasonal activities. To top it all off are the magnificent views from the Blue Ridge Parkway, just a short drive away.

Fun family activities, summer and winter sports, coupled with wonderful shopping at local boutiques and Tanger Outlet Mall, plus art galleries and museums make Alpine Log Cabin an exceptional place to stay for a week or weekend. There is a $50 plus tax per dog pet fee (if applicable) and a $10 per person per night charge for more than 6 guests. If you are bringing a dog we must insist that they stay off of furniture and bedding because some of our renters are very allergic to dog dander. We regret that we cannot accept cats.

We welcome dogs. There is a $ 50 plus tax per dog additional fee. We do not allow cats. If a guest cancels 60 days prior to check-in, there will be a 100% refund (minus credit card, Paypal or Booking Service fee). If a guest cancels less than 60 days, we will try to re-rent. Income from that will be refunded. We stay busy with guests all year. Please do not reserve unless you intend to stay.

How do damage deposits work?
