Description from owner

3 Woodford House is a cosy and comfortable town house set in a quiet and tucked away corner, close to the centre of the Sussex seaside town of Bognor Regis. Within walking distance of the many facilities and amenities the town centre has to offer, the house is ideal for those looking for the convenience of such a location, but would also like to be able to escape to a holiday home hidden away in a quiet corner.

Approached via a private gravelled drive, 3 Woodford House has parking for 2 cars directly in front of the house. There is a living room with a dining area which overlooks the attractive private rear garden. The kitchen, although quite compact, offers all the facilities one would need. This includes an oven with gas hob, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and a microwave.

The West Sussex region

Regarded as one of the sunniest spots in the UK, there is no shortage of things to do in this area. There are numerous sporting activities in the area, including water sports, golf, horse racing and motor sports. There are a lot of historical places of interest to visit such as museums, monuments and castles and there are lots of pretty towns and villages nearby. It doesn't matter if people want a quiet break or an active holiday, this location is equally suitable and it is also very accessible to major towns and cities.

Bognor Regis

Bognor Regis is a traditional seaside town located in the heart of the south coast of England. It mixes traditional features, such as its pier, with modern amenities including the Butlins holiday resort. The town centre is within easy walk of 3 Woodford House, separated from the house by Hotham Park, a public park that has seen much investment in recent years. The popular beach at Bognor Regis has been a draw to the area for decades and retains much of the sea front character associated with great English resorts.

The historic cathedral cities of Chichester and Arundel are both within a 15 to 20 minute drive and offer a wide range of shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. A little further along the coast to the west is the city of Portsmouth, home to the British Navy and boasting such attractions as the Mary Rose and HMS Victory. Along the coast to the east is the cosmopolitan city of Brighton, with a wealth of independent shops and lively night life.

To the north can be found the South Downs National Park and many picturesque country villages. The famous Goodwood Estate, host of the Glorious Goodwood horse racing festival and motor racing events such as the Goodwood Festival of Speed and the Goodwood Revival, is within easy reach of 3 Woodford House. There is also a mainline railway station in Bognor Regis, with a direct line to London Victoria.

“only suitable for 2-3 people”

Reviewed 2 Nov 2012

The description said living room, sofa bed, comfy seating for 4 people. It was a 2 seater uncomfortable setee. The dining area did have 4 seats, but the table could only fit 2 round comfortably. The house next door had a couple dogs, that barked endlessly, starting at 6am!.We rang the agency that we had booked the house through when we arrived,as we were also told there was a dvd player and the sofa bed upstairs was a luxury 1,when we were a bit worried booking,as it would have to be for 2 adults or 2 teenagers to share. They resonding quickly and brought a dvd player round but coud not do anything about the furniture size and would be changing the description on the website. The house was very clean, warm, constant hot water and in a good location.Shame we couldnt all sit,eat and sleep comfortably

Thank you for your review and we are sorry to hear that your stay was not as comfortable as you expected it to be. The house may not be ideal for a family with 2 teenage children as the second bedroom does have a sofa-bed and the living room furniture is not the largest in the world. It is also a shame that we could nothing about the neighbour's dogs, but I am assured that it is very unusual for them to be noisy in the way you described. It is good to hear you enjoyed the location and that you were happy with the presentation of the house, as well as the heating and hot water. It is just shame it didn't quite work in other ways for your family group. Kind regards, Pallant Holiday Lets
