Pearl Cottage is a lovely Cotswold stone cottage in Blockley, built in 1837, at the end of a short terrace of four houses called Albert Cottages, all with semi-circular topped windows.

Blockley is a picturesque, historic village that benefits from having two great pubs and a community owned village shop and cafe, as well as a Norman church in the centre of the village used for Father Brown on UK TV.

It's the perfect base from which to explore the many beautiful towns and villages of the Cotswolds, as well as further afield places such as Stratford-upon-Avon, Blenheim Palace and Oxford.

Completely renovated and refurbished in Winter 2016, Pearl Cottage's decor combines light and fresh contemporary with a traditional feel. It oozes style - natural neutral fabrics, wooden carvings, sumptuous chairs, quality crockery, glassware and cutlery, and a delightful wood burning stove - are just some of the features. It has fast wifi throughout, a SMART HD TV and a well presented kitchen with a massive dining table.

Pearl Cottage sleeps a maximum of five people, in three bedrooms, with one bathroom. At the back we have an enclosed garden, and free on street parking is readily available along the quiet road.

PETS: We welcome 1 small or 2 very small (miniature) dogs but please let us know before you arrive so we can leave out special doggie towels and dog bath, etc. £20 will be deducted from the security deposit before it is returned to you to cover extra cleaning. And very sorry but no cats allowed - several of our regular guests are sadly allergic to cats.

Pearl Cottage is an ideal retreat for friends or a family looking for a lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Please note - there is no stair gate and so for some families with very active toddlers and young children the cottage may not be suitable, although we have had many youngsters to stay, very happily. Like many old Victorian cottages, there is 1 bathroom (with loo) and no 2nd loo so it is not suitable for more than 5 guests.

Why can't I call Linda (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Linda (the owner) a message.

If Linda (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
