“Not for young family”
We had an email on the day of check in , I did not read this until we were in the house, it states they do not supply towels, for a family of 5, (2children under 3!) this was not a good start. Luckily there is Waitrose and other supermarkets a short drive down the road. Upon arrival the garden has not been looked after for a while, unlike the pictures in the advert. The windows haven't been cleaned in ages, spiders nests and finger marks. Inside has a funny smell, but looks lovely and bright. Then in closer inspection the tv stand has not been dusted, finger marks again on the mirror coffee table, and then in a drawer in the kitchen, there are actual cobwebs, I mean how long does that need to be closed for cobwebs to occur in a drawer with cooking utensils in?! It's not all bad though, cute welcome note on the chalkboard, lovely easy to use and clean oven, large fridge freezer, (even if there was very out of date food left in there) good sized rooms. The downstairs double bed is very creaky (not good when you have a 6month old baby in our travel cot trying to sleep) downstairs shower room, 2 basins not needed, but all lovely looking and the shower is not bolted down but works ok, pressure was not that strong, but worked. Smaller bedroom was lovely but not able to air it out as window was on to a brick wall, as is the kitchen window. Upstairs, obviously odd lay out, knew from pictures, but was used by our 8yr old so didn't really matter. The house backs on to a pub and we were not disturbed by any noise and also the church rings bells every hour also didn't disturb us one bit. Little cute playground is literally 2min walk down the road. All in all, lovely family weekend away. The house just needs a little extra clean, supplied with towels and tidied up garden. Oh and far too many things that could get broken, lots and lots of cups and saucers and vases and general nik naks that are not needed.
We stayed in bleadon the property was beautiful it felt like a home would highly recommend this property
“Accommodation for 5 in Bleadon.”
We found the accommodation adequate. The only problem we had was operating the high spec shower. Would suggest a 'how to work' manual on hand.
“Exactly as it says, beautiful”
We stayed for 3 nights last weekend. What a lovely bungalow in a great location. It actually backs on to a pub serving great home made food, try the steak night on a Friday, 2 for £18. Bottle of Prosecco for £10. Literally 40 second walk away. There's everything you need, we didn't cook just ate in the pub. Beds very comfortable, we didn't use the upstairs bedroom as there was only the 2 of us. You would have to be quite open minded to use the "facilities" in the bedroom. Don't forget to take towels, we forgot so had to buy some. Also there is no hairdryer. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.
“Lovely clean home.”
We stayed here for four days in August as a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children) the bungalow is lovely and clean, airy and fresh. The bath in the master bedroom upstairs was amazing, one evening I left the blind open, had a hot bath and watched the stars. It doesn't show the other two bedrooms on the ad which is a same as they're really nice too. The only thing that let it down is the jack and Jill shower has been disconnected so there's no lights in there (only the actual bathroom light and no window) therefore it's quite dark. We had to use our phone lights to make it a bit lighter in there while our children (9,6 & 4) used it. Peter was always close by to help if needed. Would definitely visit again.
“Ideal location .”
The cottage is ideally situated for both beach and town facilities , also we visited the M shed in Bristol ,which was brilliant for our 4yrs old grand daughter,we also enjoyed the visit. .The cottage is well equipped ,& also unusual ,I was not to impressed with the bath & toilet facilities at he bottom end, of the very comfortable bed in view of all & sundry, The Russell hobs draining board ,was not very secure and by putting wet plates, cups, & dishes on it they just slid back into the sink, The Garden and the overgrown path could do with some T L C. the view from inside ,made it look un-kept, it didn't do justice to the cottage,. But we still enjoyed our stay
Lovely, clean, very well equipped kitchen, 3D TV & dvd's which kept the little ones happy and less than a minute to the bus stop to go into Weston Super Mare!
“great place to stay”
Booked this place so my mum could come on holiday with us. The bungalow was very clean and tidy. the bedrooms downstairs are large and nicely decorated. the upstairs room was lovely with its free standing bath and toilet and sink but if your tall you will have to watch your head on the ceiling. We had a lovely time in the south west and only skimmed the surface of all the things we wanted to do.but it was great knowing when it was time to go back to base to recharge our batteries we where going to be stress free as everything worked. We are planning on going back to the area again next year and i hope the bungalow is available then
