Tail Race Lodge is a luxurious self catering wood cabin situated on the banks of the River Tilt in the picturesque village of Blair Atholl within the Cairngorms National Park.

The recently refurbished accommodation comprises one twin and one double bedroom with ensuite shower room, family bathroom and open plan lounge, dining area and high-spec kitchen. French doors lead out to the wooden deck overlooking the river, furnished to allow al fresco dining on warm summer evenings. In cooler weather, the gas central heating and wood burning effect gas stove provide a luxurious, cosy atmosphere, just perfect for a night in after a day in the great outdoors. Television, DVD player and wi-fi are provided for those guests who aren’t quite ready to cut all communication to the outside world.

The rental fees include utilities, fresh linen and towels. On site is The Steading Spa which provides access to a swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and gym for a daily fee. (closed until further notice)

A secure shed is provided for storing sports equipment, motorcycle gear, muddy wet clothing, bicycles etc.

The Train Station is just a 5 minute walk away. There is also a limited public bus service on the main Street .

Out of all the guests we have had stay we have only given two bad reviews, both of which were justified Both times the guest has then used Trip Advisor as a revenge tool!. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Andrea (the owner) a message.

If Andrea (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
