A beautiful family friendly lodge set in a peaceful, secluded location makes a perfect base for a relaxing holiday. Adjacent to the River Tilt it is ideally placed for exploring the amazing scenery which pulls people back to The Scottish highlands.The lodge has a bright, spacious interior and is set within the landscaped grounds of the River Tilt Holiday Park, Blair Atholl just 8 miles from Pitlochry. Accommodation comprises open living space with dining room and kitchen, en-suite master bedroom, a twin bedroom and a third bedroom with bunk beds and a family bathroom. The living area has two comfy sofas, TV/DVD with freeview and the kitchen is well equipped including an integrated fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave. A washing machine/drier is situated near the entrance. All bedrooms have ample storage and wall mounted TV's. Wifi available. The lodge has full central heating and there is a large external decking area overlooking the river for alfresco dining and socialising. The decking hosts a 4 person hot tub for private use of clients. The lodge is conveniently located just 10 minutes from Blair Atholl train station and a 5 minute drive from the main A9 connecting Perth to Inverness. The lodge is located on the 5 * River Tilt Holiday Park. Onsite facilities include swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, gym, hair salon (open March to November) and restaurant. Guests should contact River Tilt Park direct for current prices.1 well behaved pet by arrangement £25, refundable good housekeeping deposit of £100 will be required.

Great lodge in a fantastic location have stayed at this park before in another lodge and this one was far better, loved the hot tub and the prosecco was much appreciated. The lodge is spotless and well equipped. Thank You Gillian for allowing us the pleasure of staying in your beautiful lodge we will definitely stay here again

From the moment you walk into the Lodge you know it has been well thought out. They have everything covered even down to the bottle of Prosecco. The views are amazing over the River Tilt and the ducks come to greet you in the morning for their breakfast. Very cosy and comfortable lodge, we will definitely be returning soon. PS the hot tub made the week.

“Beautiful lodge”

After reading the previous review I can say the lodge was exceptionally clean, well thought out and welcoming. Having stayed at parc royale many times in various caravans and lodges I was familiar with fob entry etc, yes there is a steep hill and a tight road but take it slowly there are many small areas to pull into if another car is encountered and I had more than enough space to reverse park a 7 seater Audi in the lodge driveway, the lodge was clean and bright with fresh bedding and lots of towels, great for the hot tub which my kids loved!! Wonderful views of the river, I easily made a meal in the well equipped kitchen, there was more than enough room for our large family and dog, the owner Gillian and her husband were a great help when my son locked our keys in the safe!!! And Gillian had left a lovely welcome package including dog treats for our wee pup, we love staying in blair atholl and I promise if you book this lodge you will not be disappointed!!

“Scottish Stay”

We spent ten days at the River Tilt Park. We found the lodge to be clean and well equipped and situated in a fantastic location overlooking the river. The area is quiet and the lodge is of a good size. The the park is well located for the local attractions. We took our golden retriever who loved swimmming in the river and also the nearby walks accessible from the Glen Tilt car park. We walked up Schiehallion and Ben Vrackie which are not too far away. Our children tried out white water rafting with Splash at Aberfeldy and Treezone near Aviemore both days are good value and fun. Pitlochry and Perth are worth a visit and also Aviemore. Although weather was cloudy it was still warm and did not prevent us enjoying our stay. I believe the weather may have prevented the mosquitos as I was not bitten at all. Overall a great 10 days and I would recommend the lodge and park for a holiday in the area especially if you are bringing your dog.

Midgies are limited in the area so your normal Scottish menace is not a problem. Well behaved animals are always welcome and it’s a great place to relax with your pet.

“Lovely lodge, ideal location”

The lodge was lovely and clean and the surroundings were beautiful. There was milk, bread, butter and a bottle of proseco left in the fridge which was such a nice touch. The lodge is ideally situated with Pitlochry about a 15 minute drive away, The House Of Bruar about 10 minutes away and very handy to get onto the A9. Our only criticism would be that there was only one fob to get through the main gates to the park. As there were six of us, we were in two cars and we didn’t always go out and come back at the same time. There was one day when our daughter and son in law went out early, they locked the front door and took the key and fob with them. We stayed with our grandchildren. However we then decided to go out. We could use the patio door, no problem but we could not go out in the car as we could not get it off the park as we did not have a fob. We asked at reception if they had spare ones but they didn’t, so we just had to go for a walk. A spare fob would have been great, is this something that could be introduced? Other than that we had a great holiday in a lovely lodge.

Owner's reply: Hi thank you for your review.. Unfortunately the fobs are owned by the park and are not readily available without substantial cost. Costs are also incurred for reprogramming of all on site fobs when one is lost so as you will appreciate it is not economically viable for us to do this. The key box at reception can be used throughout your stay and this allows everyone access to the fob albeit a walk to reception to pick it up.
