Getting around

The Atholl Gathering and Highland Games is an event worth visiting, you can experience Europe's last remaining private army, marvel at their parade and then enjoy the Highland Games. You will also find a varied programme of Ranger events, including a visit to the Blair Castle and Gardens, which take place during the year in the Blair Atholl area, and you can visit the Museum and Heritage Centre. You can access lots of walks and trails for all abilities and take in the fantastic views surrounding the area. If you are interested in a bit of adventure you will find an abundance of water sports are available for all the family, including some great white water rafting and gorging, great fun no matter what the weather.

“River till lodges”

Just home from cap'dail lodge after spending 5 days there. Fantastic lodge with all the home comforts. Beautiful balcony overlooking the waterm close to all Blair Atholl amenities too. Wonderful stay.

“Relaxing Family Holiday”

The lodge is lovely,  very well equipped clean and spacious, WiFi  excellent. Decor is modern and very well thought out. Decking is huge we were more outside on the decking than indoors as temperatures soared to over 30 degrees. Loved listening to the river and birds while dining outside. So relaxing. We walked along the river, visted The Loft Restaurant & Atholl Arms beer garden, Segways (highly recommend) & Queens View.  Only one problem we had to leave. My 16 year old daughter said she could live here. Thank you for the prompt communication Shona. Would highly recommend lodge to others. 5 star, my husband said I have raised the bar! :)

We only had a few days to spend in Blair Atholl, Perthshire and it started perfect and remained that way until we left. The main reason was the CAP d'ail Holiday Lodge. You will not find a more perfect location, view, facilities, homeliness and comforts than this cabin. Perfectly Scottish! We will be back!

“Beautiful Lodge in Beautiful location”

Stayed for a long weekend (Fri-Mon) two adults and two children. Lodge is stunning. Exceptionally clean and has everything you could need for a short break. The balcony is amazing and although the weather wasn't kind to us, we were still able to sit out and enjoy the view with the help of the patio heater that is provided outside. We will most definitely be back again. A magical place.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Shona (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
