The Scotland region

The Cairngorms National Park provides a unique opportunity to experience the splendid Scottish hospitality, wildlife, fishing, golf, walking, music and sports. Pitlochry offers entertainment all year round with their Festival Theatre, live music events, the Winter Words Festival and much more, with lots of choice if you fancy eating out. Cycling enthusiasts can enjoy the challenging Etape Caledonia event in May. The renowned Pitlochry Highland Games are held each year in September. Each year the Enchanted Forest continues to attract visitors during October with an award winning light and sound show as you take a walk through the forest.

The Eradour and Blair Atholl Distilleries are well within reach. The Tummel and Tay Festival is an event which must not be missed with entertainment and food fayre.

The Queens View affords a spectacular view over the Loch Tummel, visit the new Queens View Visitor Centre. A short drive from the Lodge will bring you to Killiecrankie where you can take in the Killiecrankie Falls and soak up some history.

A visit to the House of Bruar is always worth a visit where you can enjoy refreshments in their Restaurant, shop in their amazing Food Hall for a wide range of local and speciality goods. Whilst there you can visit the Falls of Bruar, a short, but challenging walk which provides great views of the gorge and falls from two stone bridges, there are picnic areas for you to enjoy.

You are in the perfect place to visit many of the exciting and interesting destinations in the area, where you can return to the comfort and peace of the lodge.

Blair Atholl

The lodge is sited within the Parc Royale where you can enjoy their Steadings Spa, you can also have a meal at the Loft Restaurant where you are sure to be delighted with the service and menu, one not to be missed. A short stroll from the lodge is the Blair Atholl Golf Club where you will be warmly welcomed to try their challenging 9 hole course. During August 2016, Blair Castle will host their International Horse Trials and Country Fair. This is a leading equestrian event where Olympic medallists complete together with amateurs in four International event classes, this is showcased with British Showjumping and showing classes. Over the weekend the Bruadar Country Fair present displays of traditional and modern country pursuits. The Atholl Gathering and Highland Games is an event worth visiting where you can experience Europe's last remaining private army, marvel at their parade and then enjoy the Highland Games.

There are Ranger events which take place all year round in the Blair Atholl area and you can visit the Museum and Heritage Centre. You can access lots of walks and trails for all abilities and take in the fantastic views surrounding the area. There are a couple of convenience stores, fish and chip restaurant, post office, cash dispenser and gift shops which all can be accessed with a short walk. The award winning Watermill Bakery and Tea Room features in Blair Atholl offering delicious bread and tempting cakes. If you enjoy a spot of fishing there are lots of options available with permits easily purchased.

An amazing lodge in a beautiful part of Scotland. The lodge is comfortable and well equipped. The location is outstanding. Would recommend this place to anyone.
