Ideally situated for a coast and country vacation, Petite Oleandre Maison is located in the centre of Bize Minervois, arguably the prettiest village in the renowned Minervois wine region. With all modern facilities and fully equipped, enjoy holidaying in this charming gite, recently renovated to ensure maximum enjoyment and ease of living. Enjoy the attractive terrace for outside dining with own barbecue, and mature oleanders framing the tranquil environment . Guests have access to the pool which is 8m x 4m and 1.6 deep between 10am and 12am and again 2pm to 5pm. It is a short stroll into the village. Soak up the beautiful weather, blue skies and famous French cuisine and acres of manicured vineyards with hundreds of local Minervois, Corbieres and Fitou wines to try.

The river Cesse runs through the village and becomes a natural swimming pool in summer, with a lifeguard on duty. Bize has all amenities including café, bar, restaurants, shops and medical services and hosts the fabulous Olive Festival in July.

Travel 5 minutes to the World Heritage Site of the Canal Du Midi, and 15 minutes to the historical city of Minerve. The Roman city of Narbonne is 12 miles away and it's only 30 miles west to the medieval city of Carcassonne. Beziers is 20 minutes away and hosts the famous Feria de Béziers, centred around bullfighting. Every August, a million visitors are attracted to the five-day event. The stunning city of Barcelona is less than 3 hours drive door-to-door. Relax on the Mediterranean beaches, 35 minutes to the south of Bize Minervois.

Many UK Low Cost Airlines fly to within commute distance of Bize Minervois. FLYBE, RYANAIR, BMI, EASY JET, AIR FRANCE, BA. Driving takes 11 hours from the French coast, or travel with Eurostar/TGV from London to Beziers in under 8 hours.

Although advertised for 2 persons the gite can sleep up to 4. There is a sofa bed in the lounge area. The cost is £100 p.p.p.wk extra.

The TV has English channels. Towels for bathing and pool supplied. There are two floor fans supplied. Indoor dinning table and chairs as well as outside.

There is a spacious outside terrace with dining and BBQ facilities. The swimming pool
is available for private use between the hours of 10am-12pm and 2pm-5pm. It is heated through a
heat exchanger which works according to air temperature.

Karen & David...lovely people. Gite spotless clean and we'll organised. The surrounding area is beautiful and because of the situation of the Gite is well accessible. Hosts have good knowledge of the surrounding area if you require it. Definitely wot a visit.

Petite Oleandre Maison was really lovely. Karen was a most considerate hostess. There were many little touches designed to make our stay easy and comfortable. The welcome pack included a bottle of local wine, and breakfast for the next day. An unexpected arrival by one of my children posed no problem at all, Karen supplied the bedding, and help, immediately. The cottage was spotlessly clean and I detected Karen has very high standards. David was extremely welcoming and friendly too. Bize Minervois is a delightful little village which has not be spoilt and has remained 'alive' with good restaurants close by and an excellent bakery. Great to be able to walk out for supplies rather than taking to the car all the time. It was very quiet and peaceful, backing on to fields. We would visit again.

Although completely private in a very quiet lane, the gite is close to the village centre (good patisserie, a l'utile and a few other shops) and the river for pottering about in the morning and evening. Close to Le Somail for the canal du midi and only 30ish minutes to Gruissan plage des chalets which was a lovely huge beach. The gite is small and well equipped. Ideal for a couple, though we took our eldest son as well who is disabled. The owner was very helpful and welcoming. The garden was lovely. It was bliss just sitting on the patio, listening to the birds and enjoying the sunshine and the peace and quiet. Some good local walds too if feeling energetic!
