- Very Good
We spent 4 nights in Cobblers Cottage at the end of March and enjoyed it very much. The cottage is clean, tidy and very well equipped. Its location is perfect for exploring the Peak District. There's plenty of information provided in the cottage what you can do. We walked to the nine sisters and also visited Chatsworth and Haddon Hall which are nearby. Charlotte and Rob are very helpful and caring owners. We would definitely like to come back again.
“Fantastic stay in Cobblers Cottage”
This lovely 2 bedroom cottage has everything you could need for your stay. Great location we went to the adventure park, Speedwell Cave and rode the Monsal Trail. Only a short drive into Bakewell.
Arrived for a two night stay at Cobblers Cottage and we weren’t disappointed. The Cottage is immaculate and has everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The information folder is crammed with ‘how to work’ everything from the Towel Rail in the Bathroom to the Log Burner. We are not ones for contacting the owner to ask how to work something like the heating, read the folder, it takes a few minutes that’s all - it’s plain and simple! At the rear of the property there is a small area to sit out when the sun shines, there’s even a bar-b-que. There’s two lovely pubs nearby, The Red Lion and The Druids Inn which are both friendly and cosy. We ate at The Druids Inn, food was gorgeous. This Cottage is ideal if you want to get away from it all, and if you are into walking it’s great for that too. Rob and Charlotte popped by to introduce themselves, which we thought was a lovely thing for them to do. We shall definitely be booking again soon.
“Great Cottage with everything you need”
Fantastic location in small village. Two pubs with good food and fantastic local walks. Close proximity to key attractions in the area. The cottage very clean and well presented, provided for all of our requirements with everything needed to make a very comfortable stay. Wood burner appreciated on the clod evenings Owners very helpful and provided assistance when needed. Will certainly like to visit again
Beautiful well cared for cottage in perfect location ! Everything you could possibly want catered for and very attentive owners would definitely return and recommend
“Lovely, comfortable venue for a weekend away from it all”
Just fantastic venue, spotlessly clean, well thought out interior and facilities- extra touches such as dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid just make life so easy for a quick weekend away when you don't want to take loads of stuff. Birchover is a quaint little village; good access to pubs and plenty of walks meant we didn't need the car much. We loved this cottage, it was cosy and warm watching the woodburner on an evening whilst the wifi and TV kept the teenagers happy - would definitely consider booking again.
“Absolutely beautiful, clean, cosy property”
We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at this delightful, clean, cosy property. Great location to explore the area. Monsal bike trail is a must! We ran out of time to do everything we wanted to do so will have to come back!
“The Cottage was so perfect”
This trip was the first time my folks had visited The Peak District, I knew I wanted to be close to Bakewell, this cottage was in a perfect location for everything we did- only 10mins by car to Bakewell. The property was surprisingly big compared to the photos. The owners had thought of absolutely everything, I have personally stayed in a few cottages in The Peaks and I think I can say this one is my favourite so far- I even recommended it to a friend whist we were on our holidays. The property has a cute little courtyard garden which was perfect for my dog Troy (he loved his stay too). Even though the property is on the main road in Birchover you won't hear a sole, it's such a peaceful village with two local pubs, we went to The Red Lion for a lovely home cooked dinner (it was dog friendly too). I really would recommend this property as it exceed my expectations. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!
“Great Cottage with everything you could need”
We had an absolutely fantastic weekend break with our two dogs at Cobblers cottage. The cottage had every item that we could imagine and more. The hosts have done as much as they possibly could prior to our arrival, this included preparing a fire that only neede lit and leaving a pint of milk in the fridge. The cottage was immaculate on arrival and it took a very short period for the heating to make it warm. There are many nice touches such as ordnance survey maps, Wi-Fi, DVD players, books and many other items. We have two young dogs and having the gated courtyard was an absolute bonus. This meant that when we came back from walks we could leave the dogs outside until they were dry and they were safe in this area. Should we be back in this area then we will definitely try to book the cottage again.
Couldn't fault this cottage in anyway. Very well equipt with modern appliances an WIFI. ideal setting for discovering the beautiful Peek District. When we come back will definitely try to stay here again.
