The cottage itself comprises of a comfortable lounge with dining and kitchen area, everywhere is well equipped. There is a double bedroom and a single. The area is very quiet but you can, fish play golf and fine dine in the local area. There are market towns within easy reach.

The Yorkshire Dales and the Lake district are also both within easy reach So! You can shop till you drop or just relax and enjoy the quiet. We are 4star rated and gold in green tourism.

We have the Bowland Festival each year and during the summer various agriculture shows. Quite a few of the villages also have open gardens during the summer months. During the spring and autumn the trees are a wonder mixture of colours. For bird watchers we have the River Wyre with it's estuary full of bird life, Leighton Moss is nearby as is Brockhole Country Park. Golf and Fly or Course fishing is nearby. Both Liverpool and Manchester are easy places to reach for shopping and to take in the culture of both cities.

“Lovely peaceful country location”

Reviewed 30 Sep 2012

We enjoyed the peaceful countryside location and the very friendly owners. Everything in the cottage was first class. We were welcomed with home-made goodies and enjoyed the occasional chat with the owners. Good access to local towns but your own vehicle is essential.

Owner's reply: Thank you very much for your kind words. Wetry always to listen to our guests

“Fantastic”

Reviewed 14 May 2012

Everything about this cottage was great! It was so homely well furnished and bright. Lots of goodies left for us ( Loved the teddy on the bed and enjoyed the choccis he was holding) Pam was lovely ,very friendly nothing too much for her, the garden beautiful and the dogs great

Owner's reply: So glad that teddy was working well, he's always so pleasant and smiling. We are so pleased you enjoyed your time here.
