Description

Luxury, peaceful cottage, restored and converted to a very high standard, set within 130 acres of private grounds. Spacious open plan, beamed excellently equipped kitchen with fireplace and large seating area, leads out onto south facing private patio area, with tables, chairs and barbeque and stunning views over Biggin Dale. Private tennis court (rackets and balls available) Walk via footpath to the village pub or hotel for excellent food and drinks.

Courtyard Creamery has accommodation all on one level. Fully equipped with free Wifi , Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher, electric wood-burning stove, TV, DVD and Bluetooth Speaker. Large selection of board games, jigsaws, DVD's and walking guides.

The bedroom has a king-size bed with goose-down duvet, feather pillows & 100% cotton linen. En-suite bathroom with bath, shower over, hand-basin & loo has views over the countryside. Soft white fluffy towels and complimentary 'Au Lait' toiletries.

Walk directly from your back door to historic Hartington, the River Dove, and beyond. Explore the Georgian Market town of Ashbourne (Gateway to the Peak District) and the Spa town of Buxton, famous for its' annual Opera Festival. Forage for antiques in Leek. Derbyshire's jewel, Chatsworth House is just 20 minutes drive.

Plenty of secure storage for bikes. A central laundry area has a washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing board and also a pay phone.

Mobile phone signal can be patchy depending on your network - reasonable coverage for O2 and Orange/EE.

Your cottage is in the grounds of Biggin Grange where we live. I am very much around if you need me or if I am away can be contacted on my mobile or message me. If I am away there is normally somebody around who will be in the house or helping with the animals.

“Fabulous break :)”

Courtyard Creamery proved to be lovely, airy , peaceful and very comfortable accomodation on a picturesque farm with absolutely stunning views of the rolling hills and splendid looking cows. Jane and Richard are very friendly and the chocolate brownies were a very welcome treat. There are so many walking and cycling opportunities in the area we will definitely want to make a return visit.

“Peak of perfection”

The Peak District is a lovely area to visit, and the Courtyard Creamery is an excellent base from which to explore the Derbyshire Dales. Spacious and tasteful accommodation, with a big comfortable bed. We enjoyed watching the pied wagtails patroling the lawn each morning, seeing the cattle, and being greeted by the friendly chickens. The patio is a lovely spot to sit with a glass of wine and enjoy the peace of the countryside. We loved walking in nearby Wolfscote Dale and hiring bikes from Parsley Hay to cycle along the Tissington Trail.

“Biggin grange.”

We had a fantastic week in the courtyard creamery at Biggin grange. This place is perfect for staying at and touring the peak District, especially by push bike and walking as we did. So peacefull, lovely owners, Otto the dog, amazing scenery and we would have no hesitation to stay again.

“peace and comfort in the countryside”

We stayed a week at the Courtyard Creamery. Spacious, comfortable, beautiful details, very well equipped kitchen. Use of washing machine and dryer. Biggin Grange is a very well situated working farm (cows and sheep) and (also important) within walking distance of a pub with nice meals. Nearby start great walks through the Dales. We liked everything!

“Excellent stay in an amazing apartment”

The Courtyard Creamery is a really beautiful apartment in the Peaks, perfect for what me and my partner were looking for. The location is fantastic and everything about the apartment was kept to a very high standard, including a really nice personal touch of homemade biscuits waiting for us on arrival. Would definitely recommend :)

“Perfect escape to the country”

Booked this cottage as the pictures were eye catching and fell in love with the views. On arrival we were met my Jayne and made to feel extremely welcome. Lovely cottage with everything in it you need, lovely kitchen with all utensils to be able to cook anything you need and cosy bed with a lovely bathroom. All in all perfect and décor is lovely. The surroundings are beautiful and although we did not have perfect weather it did not matter as the walks in the countryside (all found nearby) were brilliant and with a small village nearby we were able to get anything we needed. Recommend visiting the River Dove and Monsal head. Enjoyed being away from it all and will definitely be going back later in the year when it is a bit warmer and spend longer as 2 nights was not enough.

Hartington seems to get better and better as the little village shops stock so much more than they used to. So no need to venture much further if you don't want to. You must come back when the weather gets warmer. It is such a sun trap on the terrace and perfect to relax while looking at Biggin Dale.

We stayed for two nights in this lovely cottage. It is superbly renovated with much more facilities and little touches than you would expect with a typical self catering accommodation. The location is perfect, in the heart of the peaks. We visited Bakewell, Buxton, Matlock and Dovedale, all of which are short drives away. Thank you for a great stay! P.s. It also made an ideal setting for a successful marriage proposal! ☺

“Lovely country break”

We stayed at courtyard creamery the past weekend 9th - 11th of jan. We did struggle to find it on the sat nav but realised its two seconds away from the centre of biggin. It was a perfect size for the two of us, it had everything you needed. Lovely views also. Jane and Richard were very welcoming and helpful on arrival and departure. I would deffinatly stay again it's in the perfect spot to get away from city living ! We had a great time only wish we were there longer.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

If Jane (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
