A beautiful converted barn in the heart of the Peak District. We started this family letting this year and have been so amazed with how many bookings and repeat bookings we have had. People have commented that once this little gem has been discovered people will return each year.If you have stayed before we can offer you discount please contact Tuyet Ramzy.

A friendly family home next door with gorgeous gardens and flowers.

The River Dove and Wolfscote Dale is 20 minutes away on foot. Hartington is 1.5 mile away with local shops, pubs and cheese.

It is also very suitable for small families.

This is a newly built very warm artist studio with recently installed log burning Clearview stove. The place gets very warm with just a few logs. If you would like to paint, take photos or even meditate please contact Jan.

“Quaint and relaxing”

Reviewed 17 Mar 2019

Lovely fire. Very comfy bed. Shower was hot. Rural setting. Underfloor heating in the kitchen. It was a really relaxing stay at Ramblers Barn. It was a really good location within walking distance to a pub and 5-10min drive to at least 3 other pubs and a village shop. We didnt do any walking but its close to a few trails The main house is just infront but the only contact we had was when we arrived which was nice. The only downside were the cobwebs in corners of the ceiling. I would recommend it for couples and small groups as there is plenty of space. It looks smaller in the pictures. I would stay there again! Its a 4.5 stars.

Lovely place to stay nice a cosy we did not need to use the log burner but I guess it would of been very nice in the colder months beautiful views around the cottage...great area for walk especially down to the river dove and in to hartington (mustvisitcheese shop) very close to the picturesque towns of Buxton and Bakewell (tarts are amazing)

“Ramblers Barn”

Reviewed 26 Oct 2016

The location of the barn is ideal, everyone we met in the villages of Biggin and Hartington was friendly and welcoming. Having the log fire was a real treat, even if we struggled to light it. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was adequately equipped. Our only issue with it were the cleanliness. One of the throws on one of the beds had stains on it and there was food residue on the oven gloves and one of the spatulas. Overall there was dust and cobwebs throughout the property but the shower and the toilet had been cleaned. The shower was a little tricky initially, but we mastered getting a consistent temperature. The owners cat was very friendly too! We had a lovely time, thank you.

“Perfect retreat, had a brilliant time there”

Reviewed 24 Nov 2013

This place is perfect for exploring the surrounding Dales. It's very close to loads of walks and bike rides like the Tissington Trail and river Dove. You're in a converted barn in an old farm set in a quiet hamlet, surrounded by hills and dry-stone walls. The manager is really easy to get along with and we had a fantastic time there. Would definitely go back and would recommend it to anyone that wants a taste of the real Peak District.

Owner's reply: Thanks for your review, glad you enjoyed it, hope to see you again in the new year.
