“Lovely villa, peaceful location.”

Reviewed 19 Jul 2016

We were a party of 3 mature couples (in our 60s).The villa is as shown on pictures and was an excellent base for exploring the Languedoc region. No complaints at all on the accommodation. The TV was a bit of a challenge but that was an area issue, and apart from the fact it was Football Euro time, we wouldn't have been bothered. Great lengths were gone to to try and rectify this for us, to the point we decided we aren't really worried - so just left it. Wifi works great, all the detail is as described. Anything we needed help on was attended to very quickly. For those coming from Bessier airport, I would strongly advise going through Bessan way rather than Bezier as it's easier to get on to the D28. it's easy enough once you know and have done it - but first arrival can be challenging. It's easy from Bessan though. The Domaine du Lac is not signposted from the main road D28 so you do need to take the Golf Club turning which leads you to it. It is perfect for golfers as you are in an enclosed area right on the golf course, and they were extremely helpful when I popped over to ask directions. As it is on the golf course - it isn't in a village as such, it is quite self contained, so no local boulangerie. However, you need a car anyway, and Lidl is about 5 ish or a few more minutes down the road which has everything you need. They open at 8.30 in the morning, and all the bread etc is there ready for you. Also a number of other supermarkets but this was our early morning drive, no problem. The villa is also right by the swimming pool which looked nice, but it was just a tad too cold for us to test (not the norm for the time of year we went - usually much hotter). We loved Bezier, Pezanas, Montpellier, Mareillan, Sete.....the apartment is really well situated for getting round and about.
