“A good holiday in Umbria”
We stayed in L'Apogia in September 2012. We very much liked the apartment; it was well equipped for accomodation, cooking, eating and entertaining and very comfortable. We liked the fact that there were several balconies, good for drying washed clothes and so forth. There was one with excellent views across the valley to Assisi. Although the weather was good we noted that the windows and doors can be well-closed to protest against winter weather. As wew were part of a larger group, we saw other apartments, on both sides of the Via Corta, which is easy to cross which are just as good. The surrounding region has much to offer; there is a very good supermarket at Passagio.Access to places such as Assissi , Montefalco, Spoleto, Torgiano and so forth is very straightforward. Internet access is not quite perfect but this is being worked on. All in all a very good venue.
“A Beautfiul and relaxing place to stay”
I can recommend L'Agogia apartments to anyone who enjoys quiet relaxing holidays. I have been going to Macina de Bettona every year for the past 3 years and have stayed in L'Agogia for the last 2 years. The apartment is located up a small hill between the village of Bettona and Passaggio. Both villages are a short walk from the apartments. Passaggio has all the local amenties you would expect - there's a small supermarket, pharmacy, restaurant, bakery, post office etc So if you wanted to turn up and relax for a week all the essentials are close by. Bettona has some really pretty churches and very nice cafes / ice cream shops. The apartment is incredibly clean and comes with a diswasher / kitchen so you can easily prepare your own meals. There are 3 good sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms so ideal for 3 couples or a family. Each room comes with large drawers / wardrobes to hang your clothes. The bed linen is very fresh and clean and there are plenty of bath towels and hand towels stored in the cupboard in the corridor. The kitchen utensils, glass and cups are also very clean. Last year I went with friends who had never been to Italy before and they can't wait to go back there. We ate on the balcony every night which was incredibly spacious. There is also a smaller balcony off the kitchen which was used to enjoy a cup of tea whilst taking in the views of the mountains. This year we went with a large group of people and everyone had a fantastic time. There's enough for everyone to do, everyone did their own thing during the day and then at night we all met up and had BBQs on the terraces. The location is ideal if you hire a car. We went on several trips last year - we managed to go to Perugia, Florence, Assisi, Lake Transimeno: the apartment comes with a local guide book so if you don't want to relax by the pool there are recommendations of things to do. The views from the apartment are amazing, at night you can see Assisi lit up on the mountain. If you go in June the roads are lined with poppies and at night fire flies come out. The pool and jacuzzi are well maintained and there are plenty of sun loungers / deck chairs. There is also an area for boules, table football and swings so there are other things to do on the site. There are stone BBQs that can be used - we had several BBQs this year. Roberto and Liz are incredibly friendly and make you feel very welcome. If you have a problem with anything they can't do enough to help. We are hoping to go back next year, I can't recommend it highly enough.
