"A very warm welcome to luxury accommodation"
We stayed at the Barn for Christmas Week 2012. The cottage is located in fabulous countryside and quite remote for winter travelling. We received a lovely welcome from the owner who had baked us mince pies and povided mullled wine. Also a delicious evening meal delivered from the local deli was waiting for us. A decorated xmas tree warmed the sitting room. The standard of accommodation is top quality and particularly the three bedrooms and bathrooms which are extremely attractive with exposed oak beams. The sitting room/dining room might been seeh as a little compact for six adults but was fine for our party of 4 plus one small baby. There is no open fire but I imagine it would be difficult to fit one given the constraints of the barn conversion. The shower in the main bathroom is probably the best I have ever experienced. The owner has gone to great efforts to make the farmyard attractive for visitors with outside seating areaas and bbqs etc although being the middle of a very wet winter we could not benefit from this. There is however an additional laundry room with extra fridges and freezers which was extremly useful for storing our mass of xmas grub.Farmhouse food is available from the owner and watching the animals at feeding time is fun. The area is gloirious for walking/birdwatching etc and for foodies with a wealth of top quality eateries all around. Our perfect location which we want to come back to when its not raining!
Thank you so very much for your kind words about The Barn. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay so much and would be delighted to see you again some time in the future. All the best
