The living space is extremely spacious, with many period features - original roof beams, polished wood floor boards, and deep window sills. It is furnished to an exceptional standard, with luxury bathrooms, designer soft furnishings, contemporary fitted kitchen with integrated Siemens appliances, WiFi and highly effective central heating.

The accommodation is arranged over three floors. There is a kingsize double bedroom on the ground floor with an ensuite shower room, and a twin bedroom and a superking double bedroom on the first floor with a family bathroom. On the second floor there is a spectacular 30 foot living/dining area, with a glass-sided mezzanine in the roof space with stunning views. The house is luxuriously furnished, with deep sofas and armchairs to sink into and super comfy beds. If you can take your eyes off the view, there is a 40” tv screen and Home Cinema.

From the house, it is just a short stroll to the beach and Berwick pier, or to the famous Elizabethan walls which encircle the town. Pier Road is quiet and peaceful, but the town centre is in walking distance, with an interesting range of coffee shops, restaurants and little shops. There are excellent rail links to Edinburgh and Newcastle, and Berwick is an ideal centre for exploring the Heritage Coast and the Scottish Borders.

Location description from owner

The England region

NorthEast England is one of the most beautiful areas of England, and the least visited - you will find less traffic here than in the South of England, and more friendliness. Northumberland is a predominantly rural landscape, with the rolling hills of the Cheviot range to the West, and a fantastic coastline to the East. There are several walking trails in the area, including St Cuthberts Way and the North Sea Coastal Trail. There are excellent golf courses, both links courses and inland, as well as fishing, horse riding, diving, birdwatching and lots more!

Berwick upon Tweed

Berwick-upon-Tweed is an atmospheric seaside town, located on the English / Scottish border. From its historic Elizabethan town walls to its delightful coffee houses and small shops, Berwick is full of character with lots to explore.
There are good local services, including a leisure centre and swimming pool, a lively theatre/cinema, night clubs and restaurants. The coastline from Berwick down to Holy Island is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with wonderful beaches and nature walks. Local activities include horse riding, fishing, golfing, hiking, bird watching and water sports. The Holy Island of Lindisfarne, Bamburgh and Alnwick Castle of Harry Potter fame are within easy reach. On the Scottish side of the Border are the charming fishing villages of Eyemouth and St Abbs, and other attractions in the Scottish Borders There is an excellent rail service from Berwick – Edinburgh or Newcastle are just half an hour away..

“FIVE STAR ACCOMODATION”

Reviewed 8 Mar 2017

The perfect location to visit the many gems of the North Humberland coastline. What a simply stunning townhouse, and spotless ! The quality of the furnishings and bedding was second to none, with attention to detail using colour schemes that suit the coastal location. We will definately be back to this wonderful haven of comfort and luxury......

“Best Ever!”

Reviewed 11 Oct 2016

House was excellent with very good furnishings etc. The beds and linen were very good quality which pleased us greatly. The situation was just perfect with the views of the estuary and sea outside our bedroom windows. An excellent venue to explore Northumbria and The Borders. Good walks around the walls and as we had sunshine all week we were very happy with our choice.

“Fantastic location”

Reviewed 18 Aug 2012

A truly stunning town house set out over 4 floors, the views are amazing and the overall quality of the furnishings cannot be faulted. The owners have made the experience of renting this holiday home an absolute pleasure, a friendly welcome with everything you could wish for provided. Berwick is an excellent base for your holiday enough shops and eating places to keep you entertained and not too over crowded. There are loads of days out to be had in the surrounding area and although this was my first visit to Northumberland it will not be my last. 5 star accommodation and a 5 star location. (and luckily for us 5 star weather)

“Beautiful Accomodation”

Reviewed 25 Mar 2012

The house is situated in an excellent location, the views take your breath away from both lounge and 1st floor bedrooms, tastefully decorated and finished to a very high standard. Would definately stay in this house again.

“Perfect”

Reviewed 18 May 2011

We just loved this apartment, from the moment we drove through the Archway and saw our view we knew it was going to be great. When we arrived the table was set for tea with fresh wild flowers and a lovely homebaked lemon drizzle cake. The accommodation has everything you could think of (although I couldn't find a hairdryer I'm sure there would have been one there). It is homely, yet contemporary, plenty of space for everyone to do their own thing. Lots of good books and window seats to enjoy reading them. I appreciated all the eco friendly products in use. The girls delighted with the WiFi. It's perfectly placed for the short drive to Lindisfarne, Bamburgh and the beautiful beaches surrounding. I think we may have been the first people to stay and I'm sure that we'll have to book well in advance in the future for this one. Thanks to the Tiernans.
