Le Peyrat is self catering farmhouse, ideal for families . Quiet and peaceful location positioned in 2 acres of mature gardens with a private securely fenced heated pool, and only a 5 minute walk to the villages amenities
Large spacious property, 6 bedrooms , 5 with en suites, large kitchen dining room opening onto 3 well equipped terraces, to enable you to dine alfresco.
The farmhouse has easy access to all local amenities, and many excellant restaurants for eating out.
Ideally situated to explore the area's historic sites, famous vineyards of St Emilion or explore the markets, one can be found every day of the week in the local towns including Bergerac, perigueux and Bordeaux.
Canoeing, tennis, horseriding, fishing all available locally.

French doors open onto a large terrace with a barbecue, overlooking the pool, mature gardens and children's play area, with Treehouse, trampoline, swings and mini football pitch.

“perfect family destination”

As numerous other reviews stated a lovely villa and location with owners who go out their way to assist. Couldn't fault anything and look forward to returning.

“Fantastic accommodation and great hosts”

The house was fantastic and had everything we could ask for and more. The pool area, garden and outside seating area were ideal and much used by us all. It was hard to tear ourselves away and go exploring. It was great to have the opportunity for all the family to be together for 2 weeks and a fantastic memory for us all especially the little ones. Tracy and Brian were the ideal hosts on hand whenever we needed them arranging restaurants, vineyard tours and helping with information on fetes and markets.

We stayed at Le Peyrat for two weeks and had an absolutely amazing time. The property was all we expected and more, Tracy and Brian and thought of everything, even spare nappies and suncream for the two babies in our party. The pool area was fantastic and we made great use of this. Le Peyrat is a lovely property, well furnished and cared for, with all the facilites you need for a fantastic holiday. The countryside around this property is breathtaking and with visits to local markets it was a very French experience. The bakers in the village sell wonderful bread and pastries and are only a few minutes walk away. Tracy and Brian are wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble. We would certainly recommend this place to anyone and would also hope to visit again. Thank you Tracy and Brian.

“A beautiful house in a beautiful area”

We have just got back from a week's stay in this beautiful house and there really is nothing I can add to comments already made by previous reviewers, except they are all true.. Tracy has designed a really beautiful house, but its also very welcoming and warm, you feel at home as soon as you arrive. Tracy and Brian met us and true to their word were available if you needed them but invisible if you didn't. Tracy really goes that extra mile to help and an example of that is when we asked for directions to St Emilion and she lent us her Satnav, programmed with the Vineyard we were visiting plus the town. Tracy really wants her guests to have a good holiday and it shows in all the little touches around the house, from the information book, the well equiped kitchen and nursery, the tree house for the children(which has a little play kitchen inside)the pool area and the beautiful garden.We will certainly recommend it to our family and friends. “Excellent family accommodation for a large group in a delightful area of France”

We had a fabulous week in Le Peyrat in May 2012 with our family which included four under 5's. The house and garden are very well equipped for children and ours loved it, especially the tree house, the pool, and the vast amount of toys which all kept them constantly amused. The garden is delightful and has many areas where you can escape for some peace and quiet should you wish to, places to sit and read, or enjoy a quiet drink. The boules pitch was enjoyed by us too, and I must mention Dimitri, the chef who will cook a meal and bring to the house, it was delicious, great value, and we highly recommend him. Altogether this is an excellent base for discovering this delightful area of France; we visited Saint Emilion and Bergerac; the local market at Montpon was great to stroll around and try some local delicacies, and of course excellent local wine to be consumed. Thanks Tracy and Brian, great hosts and very willing to help with any questions you may have.

“Fantatastic house with wonderful gardens - a great getaway”

We stayed a week in le Peyrat with our three children (12, 10, 7) and had a fantastic time. Le Peyrat is a very spacious house with loads of room to move around and a well stocked kitchen. A generous welcome pack was a nice touch that you don't get in every house. The gardens are extensive and very relaxing, there was plenty of room for the kids to run around, climb the new tree house or use the swings, without bothering us too much on the deck. Tracey and Brian were excellent hosts - there to greet us and show us around, but although living on site you wouldn't know it otherwise, unless you go looking for them. Nice selection of books and DVDs, as well as satellite tv, kept everybody happy. Good beds and linen for sleeping in. The little village of St Martin de Gurson has a bar and a boulangerie, and there is a good Inter Marche at Montpon, less than a 10 minure drive away. All in all, a great week, very peaceful and very enjoyable.

“Fantastic Gite - great holiday had by us all”

There was 9 of us on holiday for 2 weeks (including a 4 year old and a 1 year old). We all had a great holiday. Brian and Tracy have got the balance of being there if needed, but not intruding in any way. They are also willing to arrange wine tasting / on site chef etc if asked. There were some really nice touches for the children ie. toys and the tree house. The pool is brilliant and there is everything you could ask for in the house. The village is only a five minute walk from the accommodation and offers a couple of shops for the basics, as well as a bar which is very friendly that also offers food. Within a ten minute drive there is a large hypermarket offerering everything you will need for a self catering holiday. A car is a necessity but this enables you to visit some beautiful towns and villages in the surrounding area. We would definitely recommend this Gite and we are likely to be re-booking for another year - Thank you Brian and Tracy for helping us have a great holiday. Chris

Le Peyrat is a lovely gite! Pool and gardens exellent. It's the ideal place to book if you have children. Very child friendly. We are a 3 generation family and spent a lovely 10 days there. Bryan & Tracy are the perfect hosts.They made us very welcome and were very helpful. Even driving us to the train station when we had friends come to stay. We will most certainly be paying Le peyrat another visit to see Tracy &Bryan again. (Lovely people). The Jones family. Nottinghamshire.

“Perfect family location”

My husband & I spent a lovely 2 weeks in this delightful holiday property with our 4 children and their families. The situation was perfect for young children with the gated pool and large garden an instant hit. The daily short walk to the boulangerie with a stop for coffee at the bar provided a good opportunity for rudimentary French lessons. The surrounding area is ideal - beach for little ones and a wealth of 'degustation' for older ones as well as good local markets. It was hard to fit everything into the 2 weeks. Tracy and Brian were ideal owners - there if needed, which we did when our 2 year old became ill, but ínvisible when not. Delighted to recommend.

“Just simply perfect”

We have stayed at Le Peyrat for the past two years. The beautiful house and grounds are everything we look for in a family holiday. The setting is so peaceful and private, with a comfortable, home to home feel. Last year our son was six months old, and having all the equipment for him was such a relief, from blenders and cots to sterilizer and toys, just perfect! You definatley need a car to get about, but you can get the cheapest hire from carhire 3000, or Arghus car hire. There are many fascinating towns within an hours drive, and the lake (10 mins drive) is gorgeous summer and winter! The roads are so quiet, even in the summer months, so perfect for cycling around the beautiful countryside. Tracy and Brian are fantastic hosts, and again did everything they could to make our stay so wonderful. Le Perat really is a gem, the only down side is when its time to leave! Thank you so much Tracy, Brian and Samuel, we look forward to the next visit!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
