“Large, well spaced out apartment. Well looked after.”

From the booking process all the way through it was faultless. The owner communicated well and the information pack was spot on. We were met by Jan who looks after the Apartment on the road up to the Apartment and she took us in and showed us about. She had even put in some Milk, teabags, Orange and Wine to get us on our way. If you inform her earlier on she will also get the groceries in for you, although we did not do this ourselves. We had a hire car and the parking spaces are ample (for Spain) and in a great location within the apartment block as the car park is on the same level as the apartment and about a 20 second walk to the door. The apartment itself is spacious and is set over two floors. The air conditionining system through the apartment (all areas and rooms) is excellent. You can see the apartment is well looked after and Jan obviously keeps it well clean before Guests arrive as it was spotless. The veranda out the front is lovely and we spent a few evenings as the sun went down having a drink and playing cards with the kids. The pool is not massive, but more than adequate for us and the kids. There was never more than 10 people around the pool while we stayed there. The views out to sea and to Peacock Island are second to none. Just remember not to latch the veranda sliding doors when you are outside as it locks and you need someone to open it up from the inside. Lucky we had the kids inside twice when we locked ourselves out. I checked to see if there was a locking mechanism, but couldn't find one. Maybe this is something the owner should look at. The apartment complex can only be accessed by people with a key. You will find the lift system is spaced over two sides, so you will use one lift to go down so many floors, then cross the complex (50 yards) to the other side to get the lift down to the bottom. This is the way you will go if you are walking down the road to Benidorm which takes approximately 10 minutes and a bit longer on the walk back up. We done it a couple of times after the beach and once after a night out and one time got a taxi back from the Old town which cost about 8-9 Euros. From the Rincon de Loix area it will be a lot cheaper. Make sure you go to Merita's restaurant/bar nearby which is on the road between Benidorm centre and the Cross at the top of the hill. Exit the bottom of the lift and veer immediately right and you will see it on the bend of the road which is about 1 minutes walk. Lovely place to sit, drink and eat and lovely people running it. If you are not to good on walking then I would think seriously about this apartment as it is situated up the hill or so to speak. A nice walk down to the centre, but this could be a struggle for some on the way back up unless you want to utilise taxis or your own car. There's loads of parking in Benidorm and lots of Underground parking. If you head back from the seafront you can still get free parking in some places. Have a look around where the market is on Sundays as there's definately free parking there which is about a 10-15 minute walk from the front. Hope you all enjoy your time in Benidorm. Owner's reply: Thank you very much, glad you and your family enjoyed your stay in Benidorm. We are looking into the problem with the sliding doors, it is too easy to be locked out. So perhaps next time, we have solved the problem with the doors :)
