Terrazas Del Mar is located a few minutes' walk from the centre of Benalmadena Pueblo, a white village, often referred to as one of Spain's best kept secrets. Quiet and peaceful, with mountain and sea views, yet only 15/20 minutes by road from the lively resorts of Benalmadena Costa and Fuengirola. Local transport (buses and trains) is frequent and on time and the village has a taxi rank. The property is modern with secure underground parking (marked 56) and has easy access to all amenities, supermarkets and many excellent tapas bars and restaurants.

There is a shared pool, paddle tennis court and children's playground (completed Summer 2008), all with sea views. Leading from the living room is a spacious terrace with stunning sea views, furnished with rattan furniture, sun loungers, table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. The Costa del Sol region

The apartment has panoramic sea and mountain views and is situated on the outskirts of the typical Andalusian "white village" of Benalmadena with it's quaint narrow flower filled streets, many bars and restaurants yet only 15 minutes from the lively towns of Benalmadena Costa and Fuengirola. There are regular buses running through the village and a train station 10 mins away by bus.

Trains run from Malaga City through to the Airport and Torremolinos, Benalmadena area and on to Fuengirola. Hire a car and travel along the coast to Marbella, Puerto Banus Marina and Estepona or visit historic Gibraltar only an hour away by motorway. Book to play one of the many Golf Courses or take a day trip to historic Malaga, Ronda, Granada, Seville or Cordoba.

Benalmadena Pueblo

In Benalmadena/Arroyo de la Miel there are many lively Bars and Restaurants. Look for Bonanza Square, 24 Hour Square and the award winning Marina. Plaza Mequita is the place to be on New Year's Eve and with so many ex-pats in the area there are two sets of chimes to mark the time difference between Espana and the UK !! The sandy beaches and promenade (paseo maritimo) are lined with bars and restaurants.

Walk from the Marina towards Torremolinos, have lunch at one of Carihuela's "Chiringuitos" specialising in seafood or visit the Cable Cars, Selwo and Sea Life to keep the younger ones happy. You can visit the local mini-golf if you don't fancy the real thing on the Costa del Golf'. There is a Zoo and a Water Park in nearby Fuengirola, a short bus or train ride away. Visit the local street markets where you can barter to pick up a bargain.

Then, when the sun goes down you can eat al fresco on the terrace at the apartment or visit a local Tapas Bar or Restaurant. Nightlife includes live entertainment, (inc Tivoli World) discos and karaoke bars and there is a Casino at Torrequebrada . Day trips : Gibraltar, white villages, historic cities / sightseeing inland. Lovely apartment, everything you need, beautiful views from the large balcony through the day and evening,, claire is so helpful, she is the lady who gets the apartment ready. Shame the pool is a walk away across the road, but we mostly caught the bus to Peza Spada hotel in Torremolinis, and walked down to the beach to the right and then left at chemist, fab restaurant on beach Los Leonos and clean beach, from the apartment a short walk into the old Spanish village loads of bars and restaurants very pretty village.

The swimming pool , short tennis court and children's playground are located behind the apartments at the top of some stone steps. The road referred to in the review is the service road between the two apartment blocks. Buses to nearby beaches are frequent and inexpensive. We recommend getting the 121 bus to the Windmill Roundabout in Benalmadena Costa (Las Gaviotas) anf walk 50 metres on to a sandy beach or to the BP Garage after the Marina on the road into Torremolinos and walking 200 metres past the Pez Espada Hotel to La Carihuela Beach. There are beach bars at both but La Carihuela promenade also has a good selection of small shops good for clothes, shoes and souvenirs. It is possible to walk the full length of the promenade (paseo maritimo) into Torremolinos and walk up the stepz to the old town before catching a train back to Benalmadena/Arroyo de Miel Station. It is a 10 minute ride back to Benalmadena Pueblo by bus or taxi. Bus €1.55 and Taxi €8 (summer 2016).

“FABULOUS APARTMENT”

This apartment is first class. Its more like "home from home". We were met on arrival at the apartment by a representative of the owner who gave us the keys and explained how things worked in the apartment - like the electric shutters on the balcony doors! Amazing! Unlike many rentals, the cleaners do not remove every item from every cupboard. We were delighted to find that we didnt need to rush to the supermarket to buy washing up liquid, etc. Small touch, but very welcome indeed. The view from the balcony is amazing. We have rented many properties in this area as we love Benalmadena Pueblo, but this has got to be the best so far. You can walk to the village from the apartment. We particularly appreciated the spacious underground garage, and the allocated parking right next tot he lift made getting groceires up tot he apartment very easy.. I could actually write a lot more about our stay, like the double bed was soooo comfy, and the entire time we stayed there we never heard a sound from anyone else in the block. We would definitely return.
