Location description from owner

The Costa del Sol region

The Costa Del Sol is the premier resort of Spain. The region boasts of holidays to suit everyone's taste. You can relax and enjoy fabulous restaurants, bars and of course the weather!.

The Costa del Sol's resort of Benalmadena with its miles of beautiful fine sand beaches and splendid weather, have kept tourists coming back year after year.

The Costa del Sol caters to young and old, locals and tourists alike, offering an exciting selection of entertainment and relaxation options.

From Benalmadena you could take a drive around the coast from Mlaga to Marbella which is now one of the most cosmopolitan places of the Costa del Sol, with the most famous marina of the Mediterranean, Puerto Banus, where have anchored the most outstanding and legendary yachts. The centre of the jet-set, holiday residence or playground of princes, millionaires or members of the show business, is nowadays a spotless city with beautiful boulevards, parks and gardens and a historic centre with Moorish and Andalusian flavor.

You could also travel to Gibraltar, which is a duty-free shopper's heaven and still continues to offer duty free goods despite changes elsewhere in Europe. Prices at the airport, notably for tobacco and spirits, are among the least expensive in the world

It is an ideal base for visiting the many beautiful and cultral cities of Andalucia, all within 1-2 hours drive-Seville, Cadiz, Cordoba ,Granada, and Malaga.

The influence of the sea make for milder temperatures, both in summer and winter.

Benalmadena Pueblo

The village is 280 meters above sea level and set into the hillside a few kilometers from the coast. It is a delight to wander through the narrow, whitewashed cobble streets and enjoy the display of typical hotly coloured Andalucian geraniums spilling out of endless plant pots on little windowsills. There are spectacular views of the Mediterranean coast from most of the streets. The Benalmadena Town Hall building is in this well-conserved and tranquil village.

Benalmadena Pueblo is a favourite place for many Spaniards and foreigners to shop for souvenirs or dine out.

Benalmadena port is only a cab ride away. There you will find a beautiful beach, bars, fabulous restaurants and designer shops. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.

There are numerous golf courses, an amusement park, two aquariums, a casino, a cable car and one of the largest marinas in Andalusia.

The outstanding Puerto Marina in Benalmadena is one point of attraction for all kinds of visitors during the day and during the night, with many shops, cafes and restaurants, bars and night clubs. The nightlife around this area is very animated and lasts until the early morning hours.

For anyone who wants to dance the night away there are huge clubs, trendy quayside bars, a casino, international cabaret and flamenco shows - all this and much, much more makes Benalmadena Nightlife one of the Costa del Sol's favourite nightlife spots.

“Lovely house in a lovely area.”

Reviewed 10 Jul 2016

We had a great two weeks in this house which has everything needed to have a holiday. We were met at the house by the owner and she showed us everything we needed to know. It is very close to Benalmedana Pueblo, although quite a hill up to it. Most other things you may wish to get to while having a holiday are within a short driving distance. All in all a very good holiday in a very good house.

I am so pleased that you had a great time, and I very much appreciate you taking the time to give a review here. As always if you return, you are entitled to a substantial discount and hopefully I can welcome all of your family next time. Thank you for choosing Villa Patacer for your holiday this year.

“A lovely modern home”

Reviewed 12 Jun 2013

Spacious, airy, mid-terraced villa on quiet estate with large shared pool. The villa is comprehensively equipped, freshly decorated and beautifully furnished. 10 minute walk to bus stops for efficient public bus service to/from Mijas, Arroya and Costa. The Pueblo is lovely and feels Spanish despite the number of English ex-pats. The owner is a joy to deal with, as is her local rep in the Pueblo.

What wonderful comments, and greatly appreciated. I particularly like your photos - the one of the village square really shows how beautiful it is. It is lovely to sit under the orange trees and just chill. Thank you.

“Relaxing family getaway in beautiful surroundings”

Reviewed 12 Oct 2012

I went during the school half-term with my husband and two children. The house was easy to find and someone was there waiting for us with the key (we had text them when we landed). The house was immaculately clean and much bigger than we expected. The house is well-situated for travel to all along the coast and we had a day in the lakes, which I think would be better during the summer months! It is close by to the local village where we found lots of bars and restaurants and my husband was pleased to find a 9 hole golf club and driving range just down the road where he went with the children (we were allowed to use the childrens golf clubs that are in the house which was helpful) There is a beautiful restaurant there where you can have a coffee and admire the fantastic view. We would definitely go back again.

We appreciate you kind comments and are glad you enjoyed your holiday, you are right about it's situation in that it has easy access to all amenities.

“Excellent value for money - everything was so well-organised”

Reviewed 9 Oct 2012

The directions to the house were spot on and the key-holder was there waiting for us and as requested a welcome pack of essentials was waiting for us - together with a complimentary bottle of wine! The property was spacious and we felt perhaps it was too big for the two of us, but in the evening it was cosy and warm - we were lucky with the weather, but if we had needed there was a log fire. The house is quite close to the village, and my partner and I walked up and tried out the restaurant La Fuente in the village square, which was a really lovely evening - there is quite a few restaurants to choose from in the village. I loved the views from the house and waking up in the morning and going on the upstairs terrace to see the sun come up..quite magical. If I had to criticise anything, it was the fact we only took one weeks holiday instead of two!!

We are so glad you enjoyed your visit and you are right the view from the terrace is wonderful. We look forward to welcoming you again.

“A fantastic time had by both older and younger age groups!!!”

Key pick up and detailed directions to this beautiful home made a fantastic start to our holiday. Both parents and children had a holiday to remember from the fantastic spacious accommodation to the amazing sights and various exciting places to visit. The children loved the park in Benalmadena and the quaint Pueblo village is only a short distance away. There are pubs, restauraunts and supermarket nearby whilst there is a bus service that takes you either way to the village or down to Benalmadena front. We rented a car for a very reasonable price. The accomodation was like 'home from home' everything easily accessible and in great workin order. The 'walk in power shower' proving to be a great asset for both parents and children. The pool is situated just outside the garden gate where the children had hours of fun. All in all a holiday we would recommend in every way.

Thank you very much for your comments - the house and situation is ideal for all ages, as you say. It is quiet, but with enough going on nearby to keep everyone happy. We hope to see you again.

“Fantastic Holiday, Lovely Accommodation, Perfect Location - 10/10”

Reviewed 10 Sep 2012

Just returned from our stay here, and I have to say it was wonderful, fantastic, and very relaxing. The accommodation was Spotless, with high quality furnishings and very spacious. There were 5 of us including 3 teenagers, and we never felt as though we were crowded. All the bedrooms have airconditioning which was a great, and the beds were so comfortable. The kitchen is very well equiped, with a lovely dining table in the lounge area, as well as a Large screen TV. There is a patio area leading from the lounge, which over looks the stunning pool. We found the pool very clean and quite, so no need to rush with a towel. The house is in a great location, just a short walk from the stunning Whitewashed Pueblo(Village) of Benalmadena, which has lots of lovely spanish tapas bars, and the view of the costa del sol from the church is amazing. We had a car and would recommend one,for ease.Although there are taxis and buses. Places to visit , Mijas which is Stunning, and Benalmadena Marina. There is something for all ages here, and we WILL be returning.Wish we could have stayed longer....

Thank you for your review and also your recent booking to visit us again. We hope you enjoy your next stay as much as the first. We are glad you found the house to be spacious and comfortable.
