Luxury Villa situated in the beautiful gated community of Monte Mayor affording views over the sea and across to Africa. Completely private and not overlooked the property is fully equipped with both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, steam room and sauna, games room/gym ( pool, table tennis, running machine and cross trainer ) and cinema room with 3 metre screen.
Although secluded, the property is in no way isolated. Fast WiFi and a full Sky TV package ( cinema room only ) are also included.
The 800 square metre child friendly accommodation is arranged over 3 floors with the main living area on the ground floor comprising 4 of the bedrooms and open plan living/ dining / kitchen areas.
The master suite, with his and hers walk in wardrobes, fills the entire upper floor and has its own private terrace.
Outside there are both covered and uncovered terrace areas with a large wooden decked area for sun worshippers and a weber gas barbecue. Car parking for up to 3 cars is available in the garage with space for at least 6 more cars on the drive. Within easy access are the gastronomic village of Benahavis ( 20 minutes ) various beaches ( 20 minutes ) and the bustling upmarket marina of Puerto Banus ( 20 minutes )
Also a haven for golfers, the villa is situated on the unique course of Monte Mayor ( currently closed pending renovation ) and just 5 minutes from the beautiful Marbella Club Resort. The Los Flamingos complex is only 5 minutes further away. There are numerous other world class golfing facilities, including Valderrama, within easy reach.
Ideal for a family holiday for those that want a quiet location but with access to many other areas of interest. Sleeping configurations can be easily adapted with a selection of 5 double and 5 single beds. There is also 1 cot available along with a high chair.
Please note the indoor pool can be heated between October and April for a fee of 25 euros per day payable locally.

“Family Holiday with young kids”
Beautiful rental home, outstanding quality. Highly recommend. The distance was a concern but by day two we were into the rhythm & it didn't deter us from our normal beach by day holiday that we love. Maria the property managers wife babysat all 6 kids with warmth & ease making it a holiday for parents too. Monte Mayor felt safe, if not a little vacant but would deffnitely consider again. Both owner & property manager were super to deal with as they responded & communicated quickly. Absolutely one to consider.

“Gold Wedding Anniversary - family holiday.”
We spent a wonderful week in villa Shangri-La in Monte Mayor. Everybody in our family group loved the villa, the table tennis, the pool board, the cinema, the garden - and most of all the pool. The weather was very warm, so we spent a lot of time in the cooling water. We went to Ronda to see the Easter-parade and to Benahavis to have a super dinner at Los Albanicos We should like very much to come back one day ☀️

“Feel like a millionaire for a week”
Just returned from a 1 week vacation with two other families (6 adults, 6 children ranging in age from 10 to 15) and all had a wonderful time. Location is amazing and facilities are exceptional. The house is huge (you will get disorientated at the start) and everything in it is of the highest standard. Accommodated the 12 of us easily and you never felt cramped. Everyone enjoyed the home theatre and Pool table/Table Tennis but only one brave sole (me) tried the Sauna and Steam Room. The internal pool is not heated in the summer so was more like a plunge pool and, again, only I was brave enough (but only twice). Outside provides enough room for everyone, there are about 8 sun loungers and a huge sofa and chairs. The pool is not massive but easily large enough and offer stunning views down to the coast. Garage was large enough to accommodate three cars (could probably fit 4) and ensured no one had to enter a sweltering car whenever we went out. Please be aware that the route up to the villa from the main AP7 does take about 10 minutes and is very hilly and high. If you suffer from vertigo or did not enjoy the final scenes from ‘The Italian Job’ you might want to shut your eyes (please don’t if you are driving) or consider somewhere else. However, if you overcome these worries (we were all fine) you will be rewarded with a location and villa that are exceptional and worth every penny.
“Breath taking Views!! Beautiful house!!!”
We stayed there for a week in September 2015 (Group of 12 including children) and must say really fell in love with the house, and the area (Monte Mayor). I had never been up that area, it is a very secure and a private getaway up in the mountains beside Benahavis. House was great, bedrooms were all lovely, loved the basement with games area, spa facilities, and the Cinema Room (my personal favourite, nice to watch Sky Sports on a big screen lol). Javier the House Manager was punctual and professional, showed me around the whole house explaining everything from Alarm to how to operate all the tech stuff. Would defiantly recommend this house to anyone 10/10!!!!!
“Beautiful villa with wonderful views”
We stayed for 12 days at the beautiful Shangri-La and loved it so much have already booked to come back for summer 2016. The villa is situated in a quiet area near the top of the mountain which provides wonderful views out to sea , Gibralter and the tip of Africa. My kids ( 6 and 8 years) loved the swimming pool , cinema room , pool table and table tennis. The main bedroom looks as good as the pictures on the website and also has a couple of big walk in wardrobe areas and nice balcony to sit out on . If you like a decent espresso in the morning then the built in coffe machine with bean grinder ensures you don't miss your caffeine fix. The villa is 15 mins down the mountain from the nearest supermarket (Mercadona) and a good Pharmacy which is helpful . We also found good restaurants in Benehavis (Amanhavis), Marbella ( Trocadero Arena), Puerto Banus ( Picaru) and Estepona ( Tikkitano). If you like golf , the nearest course is 5mins from the Villa at the Marbella Club course- The Monte Mayor course is still under renovation . Javier was very helpful with any questions we had about the villa and working the tech inside for the cinema room.
“Beautiful home with stunning views - absolutely everything you could wish for!”
When booking the villa I was a little concerned about the location. Please do not let this put you off, it really is only a short drive to supermarket , beach and restuarants . Benahaivs is a short drive and is a typically lovely Spanish town with restuarants for all tastes. The villa is situated in the hills facing the sea and as a result has the most stunning views . Luxury is themed throughout from every possible kitchen appliance to the stunning master suite on the first floor. We travelled with teenagers and the cinema room, games room and wifi on every floor kept them more than happy! Phil made the booking process more than easy and answered emails promptly. Javier was on hand locally and again was more than helpful. I would definitely recomend and will hopefully return soon. Thankyou phil for sharing your beautiful home!
