Description

A super little cottage with plenty of quirky charm & character. Situated right in the heart of the village, there are plenty of local shops close to hand including a general store, fish shop (wet), fish & chip shop, butchers, chemists, popular pubs, cafes/restaurants & even a library & Heritage Centre. Bembridge Harbour can be found down the hill. This is a most picturesque place where you can find two sailing clubs & the not to be missed 'Best Dressed Crab' - a little cafe situated on a pontoon, where the locally caught shellfish is prepared straight from the fishing boats.. Don't forget the popular beaches - always a favourite with the children, as they can explore the many rock pools that can be found around the shore & of course build as many sand castles as they wish... Bus stop nearby, so you don't even need to use your car!

The cottage itself offers two bedrooms being a double bedroom & a bedroom with bunk beds, sleeping

Bus stop nearby, so you don't even need to use your car!

The cottage itself offers two bedrooms being a double bedroom & a bedroom with bunk beds, sleeping a total of 4. However, there is also a little detached annexe (suitable for adults over 18, available when booking at additional charge), which offers another double room with its own little shower room, which then brings the total to sleeping 6. In addition, the main cottage also offers a cosy lounge, fitted kitchen with dining area & upstairs shower room. Outside, there is a patio area to the rear, with outside furniture for when enjoying those al fresco moments...

Location description from manager

The England region

Bembridge

BEMBRIDGE

The village of Bembridge is a coastal village situated on the Island's most easternmost point. Local residents believe that Bembridge is the largest village in England, with a few even claiming that it is the largest village in Europe. Originally, it was just a small collection of wooden huts & farmhouses. The building of the original church in 1827 consolidated it into a proper village & the heart of the village still remains around this area.

There is much to see & do in Bembridge, with its quirky little shops, pubs & restaurants. In addition there is a local library which also houses a museum, Bembridge Windmill which dates back to 1700 & is open to the public (closed during the Winter months) & the lifeboat pier.
