Hedgerow is a charming detached thatched house, close to both the beaches and village centre of Bembridge, located on a quiet private road. It is set in a large attractive enclosed garden with mature shrubs and trees, and has a wooden climbing frame for younger children.
With its spacious interior Hedgerow offers ideal accommodation for one or more families. It retains the cosy and homely feeling of a traditional thatched house with the modern facilities required for contemporary living. There are two living rooms, one of which has a wonderful open fire, the other family room has sliding windows opening onto the back garden. Both rooms have TVs and DVDs, wifi is also provided. The dining room offers seating for 10, ideal for family get togethers. The Master Bedroom has a Super King Size Bed and en suite wet room. There are two further double bedrooms with King Size Beds, one twin room, one bunk bed room and two family bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, one double and one twin room are on the first floor. The bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe and drawer space.
Outside the large and peaceful gardens are perfect for relaxing in, and offer a lovely setting for outdoor dining (seating for 10).
There are a choice of beaches a short walk away, both sand and shingle, with beachside cafes serving local seafood at lunch, and in the early evening during summer months. Footpaths from the edge of the village lead to Forelands Beach AONB and Culver Down NT where many birds and other wildlife can be seen, including the famous red squirrel.

Discover attractions such as Robin Hill Adventure Park, Amazon World, Flamingo Park, Carisbrooke Castle, Osborne House - former residence of Queen Victoria, Ventnor Botanical Gardens, The Needles rock formations, Blackgang Chine Theme Park, The Donkey Sanctuary, The Pearl Centre – to name but a few. There are also many museums, festivals, farms and wildlife centres to visit.Shops 400 yards, pub 200 yards, restaurant 200 yards.
Bembridge is situated on the Eastern tip of the Isle of Wight with coastline on three sides of the village. It offers a good range of village amenities and shops, including a Post Office, library, bank, butchers, greengrocers, fishmongers, bakery, supermarkets and restaurants. Favourites of ours include The Pilot Boat Inn for food and drinks and The Shed for coffees and lunchtime meals. The village boasts two sailing clubs, Bembridge and Brading Haven, and has a Lifeboat Station at the end of the pier. Go crabbing along the beach and visit "The Best Dressed Crab" in the harbour for fresh crab sandwiches. Many families have been visiting Bembridge for generations and this contributes to the charm and atmosphere of the village.
