“A very happy stay”

Reviewed 1 Oct 2017

We had a brilliant stay in Strutt Cottage. We found it very comfortable & the location was perfect. It was nice staying nr a little town & walking down there every morning for breakfast. We thoroughly recommend it.The only downside is that we had to leave a day earlier than expected.

“Spoilt by niggles”

Reviewed 22 May 2017

The cottage was perfectly adequate but trying to get a timely response from the owner prior to the holiday and whilst we were there was frustrating. With a bit of elbow grease and paint especially outside and fixing the almost impossible door lock it would make a very nice cottage. Overall a bit tired . Only 1 wine glass !!!!!.

“Perfect Peaks touring base.”

Reviewed 16 Apr 2017

We looked for a cottage as a base to explore the peak district and Strutt cottage in Belper turned out to be perfect. The cottage is warm and comfortable with everything we needed.

We arrived at the cottage to the fire blazing which made this lovely little bolt hole exceptionally cosy. We parked the car right outside and with everything on the doorstep didn't need to move it all weekend. Shopping, food and real ale in walking distance made this the perfect place for a mini break. If we didn't live in Derby ourselves we would definitely stretch it out for a week here. Easy to book, clear instructions for the key and care of the cottage. We will definitely be back.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your review and we're glad you liked your break. Belper really is a perfect place to retreat to and enjoy good food, drink and activities! Look forward to welcoming you back.
