Tir Salie (The North Mayo Sculpture Trail) has seven of the sculptures located in Erris. One of the sculptures 'The Acknowledgement' is located on Claggan Island near the infants burial ground where unbaptized children were buried in less enlightened times. The trail was the largest public arts projects in Ireland when it was installed in 1993 and many of the pieces remain intact to visit and will bring the visitor to some of the most unspoilt areas in western Europe.
