Groups of all types and sizes will enjoy the relaxing comforts of Cedar Tree House. Set on four acres of cedar forest, lawn & gardens on rushing Squalicum Creek, this contemporary northwest home offers five themed sleeping rooms and wonderful common amenities. Relax and enjoy the activities of the country setting, while being only a ten minute drive from wonderful restaurants, entertainment, shopping and nightlife.

Our 2700 sq ft. of indoor space offers 5 sleeping rooms each with its own sink +3.5 baths; 4 queens, 4 fulls, 3 twins, 5 top twins for your comfort. One of each type of bed is a futon; the other 13 are comfortable mattresses.

Nice furnishings are complemented by original photographs and artwork; tile, granite and marble counters; wood floors adorned with striking rugs; and bedding suiting the outdoor themes of each room (linens provided with beds unmade--optional upgrade to have beds made up). Each sleeping room has its own sink (in addition to the 3 1/2 baths), as well as a CD/iPod player, bedside lamps and comfortable Posturepedic mattresses. Basic bath, kitchen, and household supplies are provided, as is an initial supply of firewood.

The large kitchen and dining area is well suited to large groups. In addition, there are three spaces for relaxing, socializing, meeting and gathering. The comfortable living room (seating up to 24 conference style), complete with woodstove and large flat screen tv, and the cozy Fairhaven Loft (seating about nine) are in the main house. The unique round yurt is a few steps from the front door, and can seat a large group (fourteen comfortable chairs provided but more can fit) in its round, lattice-framed form. The yurt has in-floor radiant heat, a beautiful bamboo floor, dimmable lighting, and a sound system.

The large back deck and lanai overlooking the Creek comfortably seat 24 diners and offer beautiful hand-made cedar benches for sitting and enjoying the natural beauty around you. The spa hot tub for six sits on the east side of the house behind a bamboo screen.

The large front lawn ends at a fire circle and provides opportunities for games, outdoor gatherings, lounging, or even small outdoor events. In the summer, enjoy the swinging bench. The lawn circles down on one end to create a grass amphitheater with a hand built stage at its center.

Most outdoor sports are less than 10 minutes away amidst stunning scenery--road & mountain biking, hiking, lake sports & parks & beach, river sports, many parks for walking, several golf courses, outdoor art, wildlife viewing, scenic drives & ocean sports and beaches. High alpine hiking and great winter skiing are an hour away.
