Description

In a vibrant area minutes from some of the city's best bars & restaurants, our sunny flat offers all the comforts of home. Tastefully decorated, warm, well-equipped and walking distance to everything the city has to offer, on the edge of the New Town.

Our flat is on the first floor in a classic, high-ceiling Edinburgh-style tenement building. The whole flat faces out on to the street through large windows that let in plenty of light (and sun when it's sunny!)

You'll have all the comforts of home, a couple of mintues' walk from busy Broughton Street with it's trendy bars, boutique shops, great pubs and well-reviewed restaurants.

It's comprised of a large eat-in kitchen with a dining setting for four people. The kitchen is well set up and includes a old Victorian coal stove (no longer working) that gives it a rustic touch. Your basics of salt, pepper, olive oil, tea, coffee, milk and sugar are all be provided.

The main bedroom has a comfortable Warren Evans double

The main bedroom has a comfortable Warren Evans double bed, good quality linen and duvet, a decorative fireplace, double-glazed window and wardrobe.

The lounge room is a very nice place to relax after a day of sight-seeing and is a good size with two large windows, leather sofas, TV and a tiled, decorative fireplace.

The bathroom has a shower over a large deep bath, basin and toilet, again with plenty of light. Towels are provided.

A small 'box room' includes a loft bed with a single bed under it, suitable for an adult and child or two children. (Linen and duvets are provided). This room has an internal window that lets air and light in from the lounge room but can be closed off properly if adults want to stay up and kids need to go to bed. A fold out single bed can be easily set up under the loft bed. A fold out cot are available for use also.

There's plenty of storage space off the hall for suitcases and clothes and the flat is cosy and warm, even in the coldest winters.

The kitchen includes a dishwasher and washing machine with basic detergents provided.

Within one minutes' walk of the flat you can enjoy one of Edinburgh's best specialty beer shops and two excellent and friendly pubs (Cross and Corner and The Other Place), both of which have great food. The Cross and Corner is particularly children-friendly. A large Tesco store is also one minute away - very convenient!

The Broughton Street area is one of Edinburgh's most vibrant restaurant, café, pub and boutique shops areas. You'll find great food, unique designer shops selling home furnishings, artwork, kitchen and dining crockery and 'must haves' in a creative and friendly atmosphere. Artisan Roast on Broughton Street is one of Edinburgh's best coffee shops and roasters and is a five minute walk from the flat - a great way to start your day of exploring historic Edinburgh

Walking up Broughton Street for 10 minutes and you'll arrive at Princes Street. A few minutes later you can walk over the bridge to the Old Town and Edinburgh Castle.

Walk in the other direction from the flat for 10 minutes and you'll arrive at Edinburgh's delightful Botanic Gardens. Even closer is the Water of Leith with it's path to the fabulous restaurants and night life of Leith.
