Driving the short distance to Bellagio you can park in Loppia (a favourite with George Clooney) and stroll through the beautiful grounds of Villa Melzi beside the lake. In May, the abundant azaleas and rhododendrons are in full flower.

Arriving in the heart of Bellagio, you can stop for a coffee at one of the many cafes - our favourite is Bar Rossi. Sitting under the colonnades spend some time people watching before exploring the network of cobbled steps and drifting into the many beautiful shops. Bellagio really is 'the pearl of the lake' and feels as if time has stood still.

Stroll back to the lake and catch a ferry boat to one of the many nearby villages and gardens including Villa Carlotta at Tremezzo. The picturesque village of

Varenna is less than a 10 minute ride where you can stop for lunch. Eat at the lake side creperie or if you fancy a longer lunch try the Hotel Du Lac, (you can also have a lovely evening cocktail watching the sunset from their lakeside terrace).

From here you can then explore the gardens of the Villa Cypresi and the Villa Monastero before catching the boat back to Bellagio.

There are many excellent restaurants in Bellagio to choose from, or you can return to the apartment and take a 5 minute stroll down to Trattoria D’Anna. There is no menu - the waitress just explains what they have each day. This simple restaurant never fails to surprise with its ample portions and warm welcome. Alternatively, if you are tired after a long day exploring, the apartment has a well equipped kitchen and a great selection of films to watch - after the sun has set on the lake!

A beautiful apartment located in the small village of Limonta less than 5km from the picturesque town of Bellagio comprising of 1 double bedroom, a bathroom (with shower), a large sitting room with double aspect views of the lake, a double sofa bed and a well equipped kitchen area. The apartment has a balcony overlooking the lake, plus a small dining terrace overlooking the gardens to the lake and we have just completed a stunning new sun terrace. Free WiFi included.

The local ferry to Bellagio and other towns on the lake is a short walk from the apartment. There is also an excellent local restaurant 'Trattoria D'Anna' which is about a 5 minute walk.

Located in the heart of Limonta a typical Italian village, the apartment is perfect for 2 people but can accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 or 2 children. It also offers the option of alfresco dining on the balcony or lake view terrace. The property makes an ideal location for those who want to explore the many delights of Lake Como offering a very peaceful & relaxing place to stay after a day of sightseeing the delights of the lake.

Location description from owner

The Lake Como region

Lake Como is the most scenic of the three Italian lakes, surrounded by high mountains and dramatic scenery.
An inverted 'Y' with the towns of Lecco and Como at the bottom of each leg, Bellagio sits at the junction of the two branches. Explore Como, regarded as the silk capital of Italy, where you will find many silk outlets and fashion stores.

As the Alps cascade down into the aqua blue waters of the lake (some 1400 feet deep), you will find many beautiful villas and gardens lining the shore.

Bellagio

Bellagio ‘The Pearl of the Lake’ is a 5 minute drive away, where you will find a good selection of shops, excellent restaurants and art gallery’s. The ferry boat terminal provides easy access by either hydrofoil, car ferry or steamer to discover the many towns and villages around the lake such as Varenna, Menaggio, Tremezzo and Como as well as the numerous villas and gardens you can visit. These include Villa Carlotta, Monastero, Cypresi, Melzi and Villa Balbianello (home to ‘Star Wars’ and 007 ‘Casino Royale’).

The pretty village of Limonta is a perfect base for walking, with many well kept paths to choose from starting in the town square. These walks offer scenic views of the lake and its surrounding countryside. The local trattoria restaurant is a short 8 minute walk, as is the ferry boat jetty where you can take the boat to many of the different towns and villages along the lake.

For those who want to head further a field Milan, Bergamo, Lugano and St. Moritz are less than a 90 minute drive away.

“Great stay in Limonta”

Reviewed 24 Jul 2015

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this well equipped apartment in a wonderful location. The views over the lake and of the mountains are just stunning. We found everything we needed, and really appreciated the wealth of information provided in the information folder. We tried the local Trattoria Anna's and had an excellent lunch there. We explored the sights of Belaggio and took the boats to visit Como (in on the fast boat, back on the slow one) and Varenna. Especially the latter should not be missed. In summary, we spent a great week in this comfortable place, and would not hesitate to return to this apartment for another visit to Lake Como.

nice, complete and quiet apartment near the beautiful village Bellagio, great view on lake Como. Enough possibilities to make trips in the neighborhood.

“Fantastic view !!”

Reviewed 6 Jun 2014

Stayed at this apartment last week. It was lovely with stunning views. Managed to sit on the balcony a few mornings to have breakfast as the weather wasn't good all the time. We really enjoyed eating and looking at the view, it was so peaceful. We both slept well as again it was so quiet. Loved Bellagio such a pretty town. Ate at Bilacus restaurant which was our favourite, also at Salice Blu which was more expensive but a very good restaurant. Salice Blu was nearer to the apartment and Luigi would pick you up in his mini bus if you didn't want to drive. We visited Milan one of the days which took us just over an hour and my husband was able to visit the San Siro football stadium while we were there. We both really enjoyed our holiday here and can't wait to return.

“Breathtaking views and great location”

Lovely apartment, well equipped, comfortable. Located in a quiet village just outside the tourist bustle of Bellagio. Close to facilities but car recommended. Friendly and efficient owners. Trattoria d'Anna just a short walk away and serves great food at good prices with friendly staff. Highly recommended. 4 star apartment with 30 star views!

Really please you had a good holiday!

“superb location overlooking the lake”

A clean and bright apartment in a pretty setting with great views overlooking lake como. it has a well equipted open plan kitchen including dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, tv and wifi. several good restaurants within walking distance. The pretty town of Bellagio is a short drive away.

“Relaxing holiday with beautiful views and gorgeous weather.”

We had a really fantastic two weeks at La Pinin, where we could have lounged on the balcony, taking in the lake view for the whole time! The apartment was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. The parking space was a bit of a challenge though as my car is very wide. Fortunately the neighbour let us use his. We would very much recommend using the ferries on the lake as much as possible as the roads are narrow and busy. The ferries also are fun and give terrific views of Lake Como. The ferry stop is only a 5 minute walk from La pinin.

“La Pinin was an excellent apartment for our first visit to the lakes, well equipped with beautiful views”

Reviewed 4 Aug 2013

The apartment was well appointed for the following places to visit - Bellagio & the Melzi Gardens, boat trips to Menaggio & Verena, especially in the evening, a drive to Como via Canzo much calmer roads than the lakeside roads and a change of scenery. The local restaurant Anna a must, 10 minute walk, great fish menu.

“Glorious views and plenty big enough for two”

Reviewed 15 Jul 2013

We really enjoyed our week at La Pinin. The apartment is spacious for two plus our dog and we liked the fact that there were 2 seating and dining areas to enjoy the views of Lake Como. Comfy bed (a holidaying essential!) and a great location to explore the Lake. Bellagio is a ten minute drive and we were spoilt for great places to eat. Our favourite was La Punta. Amazing fresh fish and wonderful views.

Really pleased you enjoy your stay - we do not normally accept dogs but were happy we could accommodate and she was well behaved!

“Views to die for”
