Description

Barn House Cottage offers comfortable accommodation for up to two people in a quiet, rural hamlet surrounded by farmland and bordered by the river Bure. The cottage has character and is very cosy but has modern kitchen facilities and 21st century plumbing! The bustling Broads village of Wroxham is about 1.5 miles away. There is a variety of shops here—from the family butcher with a superb range of home-made barbeque foods to a large supermarket. You can hire a boat or a bicycle, walk beside the river, fish, or take advantage of the local pubs and restaurants. The riverside village of Coltishall is 1.5 miles in the other direction. If you wish, you can walk there along the path outside your kitchen window across the fields and over a couple of stiles. Coltishall is quieter than Wroxham and there are a couple of nice pubs beside the river. And if you don't want to go anywhere, relax in the garden, enjoying the tranquil setting and listening to the birds.

The East Anglia region

The Broads National Park, a wetland area of lakes connected by rivers, offers a wide range of outdoor activities. The area is popular for boating holidays, walking, birdwatching, cycling, canoeing and fishing. It is also an ideal base for exploring the North Norfolk coastline, the county's myriad medieval churches as well as the beautiful, historic city of Norwich.

“Home barn great place to stay and relax”

Reviewed 3 Mar 2014

What a lovely place surrounded by beautiful countryside and lovely walks in a quaint little village which would be great for fishing and kayaking We would definitely stay again and longer I would suggest a washing machine more useful instead of dishwasher for longer stays but we don't mind washing up
