"Family fun in grand surroundings"
From the moment we arrived, Puilhou Mein lived up to expectations. The house and garden were even more beautiful than they looked on the website, and caretakers Rachel and Stephen were friendly, helpful and efficient. The house was well equipped and there was plenty of room for our family of eight adults and two small children. Nearby village Begard was convenient for the morning croissant run, and we'd recommend the Sunday market at Plestin-les-Greves for delicious, though expensive, local produce. It was good to just chill out in the lovely garden (even Grandpa tried the swing) but there were plenty of beautiful places to visit - medieval towns such as La Roche Derrien on the river estuaries and sandy beaches and coves all along the coast (cold water!) One week wasn't long enough to see everything.
