Very Good

“The villa that has everything you could need.”

Reviewed 25 Sep 2016

Excellent villa in a lovely quite residential area but still a pleasant walk to center of the town via the riverside or quite roads. Very close to the river for fishing or picnics. The owners have provided everything you could need, so great for visiting the local markets so you can return to cook/bbq with the wonderful local produce. Also there are several good local restaurants in the town. Our favorite was La Forge. Although we were 4 adults would highly recommend this Villa for families as well, large area of grass as well as the great sized pool. Car hire essential in order to enjoy the area and to visit the supermarkets. Everything has been thought of by the owners to ensure a comfortable stay.

“The best Villa I have ever stayed in”

This Villa has everything you need to have a fantastic break, every cooking utensil you could imagine, the pool is warm and inviting, the beds are comfy, the aircon is high quality, plenty of things to do. we had a brilliant holiday and will definitely be going back in the next few years

“Perfect in every way, better than any home we have ever stayed in!!”

WOW...what a place!! Great location, helpful owners - nothing too much trouble. We stayed here late August and have to say that we have stayed in many holiday homes around the world but this one is better equipped than all of them!!. Great location, would recommend La-forge restaurant, the Monday market which is really great for those bargains, the caves at 'Grotte de Clamouse', truly awe inspiring! The children particularly enjoyed the nearby river, its quite shallow so relatively safe for them to paddle in, my husband also enjoyed using the fishing equipment supplied and this brought back some childhood memories. For those days out we would thoroughly recommend the Polygon shopping centre in Beziers (near the station) for some retail therapy. A really great house for a family stay with a lovely pool, Air-con in all 3 bedrooms, plenty of outdoor games for the kids, bikes to ride around the town, internet connection for staying in touch and the all important Satellite TV for when we wanted some quiet time away from the kids. We had a few nights at home and used the fantastic gas BBQ - while the kids played darts. All in all a truly fantastic house, town and region for a really great family holiday. Many thanks to Jackie and Paul for all their help, we will be back soon.

“Beautiful villa, fab location, safe place, pool, spacious”

we had 3 dependants with us aged 20, 18 and 11, they were in and out of the pool all day.The villa, garden and pool were all very well maintained, pool cleaner came round during the week also. The villa had everything you might need including a welcome package of wine and beer!! Jackie and Paul (owners) were really helpful and gave great advice and information about the villa, loaction, directions, places to vist, eat and more. The villa is really spacious and the garden is large but hedged in so safe and secure also as was the surrounding village. There was a lovely seaside within 40 minute drive.

“Lovely villa in a peaceful location with loads to do nearby”

We have stayed twice at Villa D'Orb. It's furnished and equipped to a really high standard, so its not like a holiday let - more like home. The kitchen is particulary worthy of mention with good pans, knives and induction hob. I personally hate properties where there are exactly the number plates, spoons and bowls as the maximum no of occupants - you won't experience that here! The layout is ideal for couples/extended family to share. We took my dad and he had the downstairs bedroom with ensuite - whilst we had the upstairs bedrooms/bathroom. The pool was 80 degrees every day we were there. The town of Bedarieaux is a pleasant 20min walk along the river or 10mins on the bikes which are included with the villa. There are two bakeries, small super market and fruit and veg stalls in the town, plus some other shops. Bigger supermarkets are 5mins away by car. Since our first visit several new bars and restaurants have appeared. If you only go to one restaurant go to La Forge it is really excellent. There is lots to do nearby. Gorges D'Heric is a lovely (uphill) walk and if it's hot take swimming things to swim in the pools. The village of Olargues is really pretty for a quiet stroll. Pezenas is quaint, touristy and overpriced. The lock at Fonsaranes (outside Beziers) is well worth a visit. The coast is an easy 45mins drive. Sete is great for sea food restaurants. Beaches at Cap D'Agde, Narbonne and Gruissan are all nice.
